"Sophia Let's go over this again. We will get in through the south gate, sneak into the castle from the roof. A stealth attack, in and out in 10 minutes."
"Exactly, you've got it all right."
"How are you sure that the alarms won't go off."
"Josh, you leave that to me."
"Let's do this then."
Josh cocked his gun and headed out. Getting into Roach territory through the south gate was smooth. None of the guards were on duty just like Sophia said, that was a bit odd though. Moving on, he climbed the walls of the castle to the roof top. He cut a portion open and made his way down with a rope. He made his way to the vault, entered the pass code and retrieved what he came for. He turned to leave when he heard a loud noise.
The sound of the alarm went off, almost deafening his ears. This is not right, the alarms were but not supposed to go off.
Josh drives his battered, hoopty car into Echo town. As he drove by, all eyes seemed to be on him, he finally brought his car to a halt in front of a bar.
"Can I have a martini please." He said to the bartender.
"You seem to be a long way from home handsome." The lady behind the bar replied as she poured him a drink.
"Funny enough this is my home town."
"That's strange, because I have never seen you in, well I've never seen you all my life."
"Yeah. That's a long story. Thanks for the drink."
Josh got up to leave bringing out his wallet to pay.
"Keep it. Its on the house. Welcome to echo city."
"Wow. Is every body in echo city this generous?"
"I doubt that. I didn't get your name handsome."
"I'm Josh."
"Cool. I'm Sophia. Be careful out there."
Later that night, he sat near the window cleaning his gun when a knock came at the door. He hid his bag of weapon which was sitting on the bed. With one hand holding a pistol behind his back, he opened the door slowly. It happened to be the girl from the bar.
"Did you change your mind about the money for the drink."
Sophia smiled and walked into the room.
"Josh, you walked into a Lion's den and you know this."
"What are you talking about?"
"There's a reason you have a loaded gun in your hand, it took me a while to figure it all out and once the rest of the town realize that you are the son of Mr Kroose, they'll be coming for you."
"Wow! Seems nothing goes unnoticed in this town."
"You weren't exactly keeping a low key. What were you thinking entering the city with the same car your father drove back then."
"Well, that's the only car I own."
"Whatever brought you back here, you need to get on with it and leave here before sunrise."
"Why do you care so much if I make it out of here alive or not?"
"I wouldn't want to see that handsome face of yours ruined and swollen."
They stared at each other passionately for a while, in the next minute they were both in bed sweating profusely and vibrating every edge of the bed. Couple hours later, Sophia who was still in his arms asked.
"What is it that is so important that you would risk your life coming back here?"
"There's something personal I need to get done."
"You can't keep everything bottled up. It's you against the entire city. You need as many allies as you can get. Right now, I'm the only ally you've got."
Josh glanced at her for a while then replied,
"You are not exactly my ally. But I think I'll need help getting into Roach territory."
"That Part of the town hates your father much more. What do you want with the roaches."
"There's something that belongs to my Dad I need to retrieve."
"I can help you with that. I've got some favors I can call in. We should head out then."
Sophia made a few calls, after which they dressed up and headed out. They Pulled over next to the sign that read WELCOME TO ROACH TERRITORY.
"Sophia let's go over this again."
Everything was going smoothly until he retrieved what he came for. Josh found himself surrounded by angry looking men with shotguns in their hands. To his greatest surprise, Sophia walked in with more men.
"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you." Josh said.
"Yeah you shouldn't have. But like most men, you weren't thinking with your head."
"Why go through all this stress, why not kill me when we were together?"
"Now what's the fun in that. Besides you are the only one that knew how to unlock the vault. I'm sure whatever is in there is worth a fortune."
"This belonged to my father."
"Well, its ours now. You think we would let you go after what your father did to this town when he was alive."
That was how Josh was misdirected to his doom by the Delilah of his time.

Hmmmm... this is a sweet read.
Sometimes trusting someone would be a problem. Josh trusted Sophia so much and so walked with her and even opened up to her where he was going to.
I don't think Josh would get himself out of this.
