“This right here is a vintage piece which has been mummified for about a century”, the museum’s tour guide led a group of curious viewers around the hall containing perfectly placed shelves carrying historical pieces.
“It’s ability to have lived this long was as a result of an Egyptian scientist who made a discovery of a formulated chemical to elongate flesh preservation”, the slim guide continued as he occasionally flicked at his lush looking moustache.
“Before he died , his last wishes were to be embalmed with his invention - which at the time no one believed in , then wrapped before he was laid in a transparent compartment.
“About ten years later, his family noticed no sign of decomposition on the mummy so they called the attention of the public. Interested acquirers cake swarming through their door but only the highest bidder got the piece which has been passed on for quite a long time till now”, he finished exquisitely.
The onlookers were wowed as expected. Some noted down the story in summary on their handy journals while some saved the tale in a recorded audio file. Some even too photographs obviously for the aim of embellishing their social media status updates.
I see a hundred year old mummy, still looking untouched by the hands of decomposition
