My paradise is the present, my eternity is memory
‘No salvation!?’ Well, no living being will live forever. Life has a cycle, whether we like it or not; it's normal. Now, for those who believe in ‘eternal salvation,’ well, I don't believe in it. Hell is lived right here on earth, and every day of abundance and health is paradise for me.
I live in peace and tranquillity, living in the present, and I teach my son Matthew to enjoy life, because we do not know if there will be a tomorrow or a later. I do not waste energy on negativity, and any calamity is welcome; it is part of the cycle of life, of those ups and downs that you surely know.
That is why I redefine my own “salvation”. For me, salvation is not about securing a place in eternity, but about ensuring that I do not waste the miracle of this moment. My only aspiration for immortality lies in the memory of those I love; if I can make Matthew remember his father with a smile and if my actions have left a little more peace in this world, then I will have saved myself. My temple is my home in Ontario, my prayer is daily gratitude, and my “amen” is a clear conscience when I close my eyes each night.

“¿¡Sin salvación!?”, pues ningún ser vivo vivirá para siempre. La vida tiene un ciclo, que queramos o no, es normal. Ahora, para quienes creen que existe una “salvación eterna”, bien, yo no creo en ello. El infierno se vive aquí mismo en la tierra y cada día de abundancia y salud es para mí el paraíso.
Vivo en paz, tranquilidad, viviendo el presente y enseño a mi hijo Matthew a disfrutar de la vida, porque no sabemos si habrá un mañana o un más tarde. No malgasto energía en negatividad y cualquier calamidad es bienvenida; es parte del ciclo de la vida, de esos altos y bajos que de seguro conocen.
Por eso, redefino mi propia 'salvación'. Para mí, salvarse no es asegurar un puesto en la eternidad, sino asegurar que no desperdicié el milagro de este instante.
