Hmmmm this is so heartbreaking. Knowing that a woman is somewhere going through all this alone shatters my heart.
My candid opinion and advice is that you forget about him and focus on yourself and your child. You gave him enough chances to set things right but he chose the other way round so it is never your fault that things didn't work out.
Who would want to be with a man who neither respect her or their union but still you gave him several chances to redeem that.
Slowly free him from your heart cos I know it's not easy letting go easily of someone you love but all he made you pass through is enough to free him off your heart (not to hate him though). Use this period to focus on yourself and thankfully you have a good job already that won't make you rely on him for your welfare and that of your son.
