People are...

I think there's too many people on the planet by about seventy five percent.

A callous and harsh statement? Maybe, maybe not, but either way it's my opinion whether you like it or not.

There's nothing I can do about it though and humanity will continue the backward slide into the oblivion it seems so intent upon reaching and the population will increase until something eventually draws it to an end. Won't happen? Well, I'm sure the dinosaurs probably thought the same thing and look what happened to them.

Watching people's behaviours is interesting and over a lifetime of doing so, I mean not just on a cursory level but with intent to learn about their behaviours, I've put what I've learned to good use.

In every aspect of life human behaviour reveals good and bad and everything in between and through seeing and understanding the behaviours I've been able to act proactively and reactively as needed to find better paths forward and to draw a line beneath the past.

I'm often disgusted by human behaviour of course, but that's to be expected - humans can be utter garbage.

A short time ago I watched people boarding a plane then disembarking at the other end of the flight and observed some strange behaviour - although when it comes to human beings "strange" is subjective. I watched courteous and respectful people, arrogant and disrespectful, hubristic, selfish, impolite and mean-spirited people all in the microcosm of that cabin which reaffirmed that there's good and bad out there...and far more of the latter these days I think.

People are...people I guess, and those who do good can also do bad and the opposite also, bad people do good things; it's just the way of it.

I have my own opinions and I'm pretty sure no one cares about them other than myself, but I'm interested in yours so wanted to put it out there for you to contemplate and comment below.

Name one good and one bad human behaviour you've personally witnessed and explain what each made you feel about people generally and how they made you feel generally. You can comment generally as well if you want, on human behaviour, over-population or about whatever you want to.

It is a toss off/up between wankers bad behaviors of lying and poor hygiene wich I guess would be laziness and low self esteem?. I mean why put forth the effort to even wipe your own ass you filthy fucking human. Truck stop showers are easy to get and free when you fuel your truck.

The good I guess in my mind that are most important would be common courtesy and respectfulness or maybe honesty? Hard to say wich I think are most important.

L👀k---> There's a Wanker Now !

I don't disagree, one doesn't need to be the best human ever, just a reasonable one. It seems that's too difficult for many though.

Common courtesy, manners, respect and honesty...not hard to do, but outside of the abilities of most considering how people are.

I remember some years ago I was waiting for my doctor appointment, there was an elder who knocked once on the door of the doctor to know how long was it and the doctor came out and violently hanged the elder on the wall with his hands making glasses fall on the ground, we had to separate them, total free violence... Needless to say I changed immediately doctor

Good things are very rare, in general it's some people I know and need their work and do some favors outside their work time... Volunteers for stray animals also

The problem is that the human garbage is at the top of the pyramid of power, just look EU politicians, the cleanest has the mange

Fucking hell man, what an asshole. people can be such terrible creatures; sure there's so much good a person can do but it can all be wiped out with a single act like you mention above.

I have not lost complete faith in human beings but due to my experiences and what I see around the place I have come to expect the worst from people. I'm very careful about who I let close to me and they have to prove themselves first, those that do not do not make it anywhere near my circle.

As you say, human garbage goes all the way to the top.

I'm also pretty much always on "alert" mode outside, like I notice movements or sounds, you never know what kind freak is around...

I’d scrap geography, history, and a good few other essential school subjects, and instead teach children how to form a queue, board an aeroplane and stow a bag without blocking the aisle, put rubbish in the receptacle designed for it, and treat their fellow citizens with basic politeness.

Yep, for sure. They could also have a class on work ethic and one on manners as well...among some other things besides.

Humans, unlike animals, cannot be generalized.
A conscious being, for whom we never know when he will behave like animals, when he will think for himself, have empathy, and when he will behave like a member of the herd.

You mentioned the people on the plane, so I will write what bothers me a little more on planes.

I have never understood those who get up from their seats as soon as the plane stops and the seat belt sign goes off.
And then they stand with their heads bent under the baggage compartment, until the plane doors open and disembarking begins.
That's why I always choose a seat by the window, so that some nervous jerk doesn't pick me up, so that he can get out first... And then we stand together in the crowd on the aisle of the plane.
Those few minutes mean nothing, even to those who are in a hurry to get connected.

That's more asshole behaviour for sure, as if they're so important that they have to obstruct the aisle just to exit the plane a minute or two earlier than others. Self-centred. Typical human behaviour. Assholes.

The ironic part is people who are good at doing bad on one thing can be good at every other thing.
And, these are winners! I don't know how long they operate, but they do. Reality check for me.
However, in normal conditions it's hard to find differences in people. Behavioral abilities elevate or deviate based on anyone's natural conditions.
There are multiple layers in People*, I have seen too. For instance, you are a good person; you agreed to them, and if not, vice versa.

Human beings are flawed and fallible, and so many are simply garbage. It's always been that way and is getting worse.

Certainly there are people with very bad attitudes, although there are also some with very commendable gestures. Bad acts I see every day like people throwing rubbish in the street, cans, bags, packaging of sweets, but recently my blood boiled when I saw a young girl on the bus who sat on the seats for disabled and anxious people and did not get up to give up her seat. In front of her a grandfather, an older person, man, let's say a dirty old man who told her that she didn't have to leave, to the girl, just to keep looking at her, and people were standing on the bus.

Another day I was walking down the street and I saw in the distance an old woman who was starting to fade away when she finished walking down the street, a lot of people came to help her and accompany her. Another man was scolding some young people for littering in the street, and I see many acts like these every day, good and bad.

Do you think ther a so ial influences that causes people to behave badly, great each other poorly?

I think there is a lot of lack of education, it comes from the home, there is a lack of respect in general and that is not being taught at home, in every home. The foundations of families are failing.

I would tend to agree with you. There are any number of people who if some giant cosmic hand were to come along and flick them off the face of the Earth it would likely be a much better place!

I'm rooting for the hand!

#gohandgo

Haha, me too. My wife and her friend even have a noise and hand motion for it. It's kind of a "plink" noise with the flicking hand motion.
