Creative wanking

We're all about saving time these days.

Automation and AI, online and home delivered shopping, video meetings and appointments, remote controls for literally everything, pre-prepared meals at the supermarket to eliminate cooking, online forms and banking plus any number of other time-saving concepts.

Ok, time is saved, I get it.

But for what? Time for what?

Wanking?

Increasing knowledge, understanding and wisdom?

Facebook scrolling?

More wanking?

Being creative and creating?

Creatively wanking?

Being a better friend, parent or sibling?

Working on physical, emotional and mental wellbeing?

Viewing porn...and wanking?

Helping others grow and develop?

Making TikTok videos?

Watching the news and absorbing the propaganda and lies the government and media feeds?

Buying into drama and sensationalism?

Travelling and gaining new experiences?

Building better relationships?

FOMO spending for more worthless and unneeded crap?

Fucking hookers?

Learning new skills?

Learning new skills while fucking hookers?

Gaming?

Devising ways to scam others or the community in Hive?

I think you get the idea...time can be spent in a lot of different ways, some positive or negative, some productive and some destructive.

I'm not into taking the easy way out, seeking to shift work, effort, ownership and responsibility away from myself. It doesn't mean I do things the hard way, I use automated things just like everyone else...but I don't like to relinquish my humanity easily and so I use my hands and use my brain. That means when I can save some time I spend it in productive ways...rather than video games and social media scrolling and worrying about drama and other things that don't matter.

I have nothing against saving time and everything against wasting it. Saving time only to spend it playing Candy Crush and scrolling Facebook seems...seems...like something a fucken imbecilic cunt would do.

What about you?

How do you save time and what do you do with it? Creative wanking?

Clearly we need AI-generated porn to accelerate the wanking! Who needs real women with all the messy complications of human interaction, even for the purpose of titillating video and images? Refresh the chatbot and rub one out again.

AI porn is the future and the future is here! 🤣🤣

Hooray for digital tiddies!

The best tiddies in town! 🤣🤣

Haha, yeah man, you know what's up!

Yup. You don't sense the uncanny valley as much when it comes with a voluptuous cleavage!

Cleavage is the solution to most things.

Seriously, though, the trend a while back when I saw numerous ads for sex chatbots and AI porn for no discernable reason was creepy as heck. I'm sure enough people paid real money for fake conversations and fake pictures to make them profitable. I'm also sure the advent of AI video has resulting in all manner of fake nude videos and celebrity deepfakes.

Yep, I agree and for me it's just another red flag that human beings are off the rails and heading into oblivion. I mean, there's use cases for AI no doubt, but people rely on it when they don't have to (like the person who commented on this post and then unfollowed me as it was clear I didn't agree with her). Using AI to replace human thought and experience is a slippery slope...at the bottom is...

Don't know. Chaos and oblivion maybe?

Time to be modern equivalents to the Amish. We reject all technology from after about 2005, and dress in 90s fashions. In a generation or two, we are known as the Cult of Xennials. We get special government accomodations for our quaint anachronistic lifestyle.

Surely the best way is passing time is creatively wanking whilst devising ways to scam others on hive.

Killing two birds and all that.. 🤣🤣

It's multitasking really. And if one doesn't want to go that effort, one can just get AI to do on their behalf. It's productive apparently.

Soon AI will be taking care of "both sides of the fence!"

That's how we kill the clankers! Get the AI to both generate and consume slop until it burns out its own circuits through cybernetic overload!

Can you imagine the state of things at peak slop!!

Cyberdyne Systems bro.

It's happening.

Devising ways to scam others or the community in Hive?

This is absolutely out of fucking control..!

As a recent and repeat victim of a scam. It makes you see more clearly the sub human grifters. Both online and off.

Humans are generally cunts, and every now and then a non cunty one reveals themselves.

Watching the news and absorbing the propaganda and lies the government and media feeds?

It's how all this bull shit started, too much television. Once sheep got into "bad brain alpha waves" they served us technology they already had for decades(touchscreen phones and unlimited data)...

Yep, humans really are fucken stupid in many ways.

Before TV was at fault, it was radio. Before radio, people blamed newspapers for the perceived downfall of civilization. TV is old hat now, and we blame the internet. The cycle of blame is perpetual, as is the fallibility and gullibility of humanity.

I honestly have no problem with people gaming or scrolling Facebook - but I guess it's all about the intention... if you're scrolling Facebook because you find it relaxing and want to keep up with your friends, then go for it. If you're chasing dopamine hits and uncritically falling for misinformation, then there is absolutely a better use of your time. Same with games, if you're using them to destress and unwind, totally cool, if you're enjoying an interactive art form, then that's awesome. If you're doing it because you don't know how else to spend your time, then that feels like a missed opportunity.

It's all about the intention I think, I personally want to feel that I'm progressing in skills or fitness every day so I don't feel like I've used my time wisely until I've gotten slightly better at something... whatever that might be.

I poke at assumptions people make with their hot takes and make fun of blatant conspiracy theories. Unfortunately, the algorithm wants that cycle to continue because it means "more engagement," so it feeds me more and more political authoritarianism and flat earth nonsense. It's tiring. I log in infrequently as a result.

Yeah, there's multiple opposing factors here... by interacting with hot takes, the algorithm is being trained that it's that type of content that keeps you on the platform... AND the algorithms knows that hot takes drive engagement overall AND people desperate for attention are being trained to post hot takes.... which is all, ironically, pushing you off the platforms.

I genuinely think we're going to see a lot less people interact with social media over the next decade or so as most of us realize the negatives outweigh the positives.

The worst part is we don't know how many of these outrage mills are even human. Between bots and overseas content farms, there's a good chance it's some poor sod who barely speaks English or an A.I. algorithm on the other side of the debate.

Everyone has their own ways and achieves commensurate to them I suppose.

Creative wanking XD

Apparently I can't do logical things like well OBVIOUSLY you're learning interesting new bedroom skills fucking hookers, I decided to go straight to trying to work out the logistics of how one would go about fornicating while simultaneously learning how to build a cabinet or repair a leak or fix the fence.

I donno I guess I'm just suck kinda sucking because the stuff I love doing is apparently terrible horrible evil stuff that could cause other people to waste their time consuming it in the event that it was interesting.

it's not gonna stop me, having to do other things already does a great job of that

My daughter used to do Tiktok a lot and I have seen the amount of effort that can go into those tiny little videos. Also helped with maths when she started doing transitions and animations (all of it is maths and half of it is graphs).

Fence fornicating...it's the latest Tik Tok trend!

Til Tok...also helps with maths? Hmm. Well, I think she could still do those little routines without Tik Tok right?

Yes is the answer.

There's not just dances on Tiktok. And the answer is no XP she wouldn't have known a lot of those otherwise. Just dancing she can do. She started off with the little dances but then moved on to (small and basic) animation and more complicated video editing, and kept going with that for a while even though it seems like she's stopped posting on Tiktok (I don't know how much or even if she still scrolls).

I don't know if she still does video editing now, adulting has been kicking in.

I've always called myself the anti-tech tech guy. I feel like kids should learn to type on a typewriter. I don't think they need all the games and stuff to make it "fun". I also still write stuff down with a pen and "digital paper", but I still prefer that over typing notes in a document.

Legit, and I agree. I'm not against change and productivity, but to relinquish one's humanity and cognitive thought? Nope, not my style.

I must be a dinosaur, I only use AI to translate stuff I got no idea what it is, or rarely at work to avoid me doing manually copy paste or hundreds rows of data, not much else so it doesn't save a lot of time to me, what it saves I just go forward with the work... Nothing at home with remote control, absolutely avoid prepared meals, online shipping sometimes, I get the butcher and the fisherman coming home to buy their products, the time saved is spent after work with family instead of going out just to buy meat and fish or medicines

You're not a dinosaur man, just someone who likes using his own brain rather than delegating that task to a computer.

People are so willing to give up their humanity, the flaws and fallibility that comes with it, and they call it progress and productivity. Imbecilic cunts.

I have a ex colleague who's gone on a new work place and he told me he does nothing, tells the AI what to do, it does and he just gives a look it's all good... And I was thinking like "oh nice change, that's sure gonna build some good skills for yourself and for a different work place", imagine you go at an interview, "so your experience?" "watching ai doing all the job"

Imagine what hos CV will look like.

Skills: Can tell AI what to do.
Attributes: A dull, uncreative mind.
Key achievements: Telling AI what to do.

What a wanker he is.

For me, I think it allows me to finish my day earlier and get more sleep. Every bit of extra rest counts I guess. Still room for improvement to further cut down on the random scrolling of social media.

Yeah, and there's less milage on your brain because you use it less.

I recall you're an AI user as well.

Relieves the pressure on your brain, doesn't have to work as hard.
