Hi Galen, this weekend I had a very exciting experience, I had to block a pretty important bank account, because the person I share that account with had his cell phone cloned, and all his banking information stolen. It's quite exciting to talk to banks on the weekend and at the same time, try to understand why one person's clumsiness can complicate your life so much. Anyway, entertaining weekend.
Dealing with banks, especially on the phone, can be pretty annoying as you probably discovered. A shame that other guy caused such an issue, hopefully it is all sorted out.
In principle, with the account blocked, no one can withdraw money. Tomorrow, Monday, I have had to change my schedule to finish resolving the problem in person at one of the bank's branches. I think everything will be fine tomorrow. Thank you.
