I'm a bit of a miser when it comes to paying for online stuff I can get for free. My brother gets pirated versions of everything. In business we paid for google this and google that but for my personal email it's proton...free version of course.

I don't mind free stuff but am often in need of more features than free versions provide so I make the decision based on need. Not much comes for free in life though, even if the costs are hidden.
