This is Yuji from the anime/manga jujutsu kaisen.
I’ve been practicing drawing the characters in semi-realism for a while. I think I did the best job drawing this character. It doesn’t look like anime but it doesn’t look too realistic either and it still looks like him. That’s what I’m aiming for. If it’s too realistic it freaks me out but anime style seems too flat for me.

呪術廻戦より虎杖悠仁くんを描きました。
何作品かセミリアルで描いてきましたが、今までで一番オリジナルのアニメキャラクターに似せて描けたのではないかと、少々ウキウキしている私です。
アニメ描きはがっつり描きたい私には少々フラット過ぎるけど、リアル過ぎるのも気味が悪い。バランスが難しいのですが、今回はバランス良く描けたように思います。実は先日描いたサボはちょっとリアルに描きすぎて、反省していたのです。
下のスクショをGoogleさんのからお借りして参考にしました。
I started with drawing in grayscale as usual. I’m happy that I’m getting the hang of it.
いつも通りグリザイユで描いていきます、と言いたいところなのですが、グリザイユ＝Grayscale (グレースケール)ではないようで、少々混乱しています。英語ではグレースケール、日本語ではグリザイユだと思っていたのです。因みにグリザイユはフランス語です。
よく分からないので、グレートーンで描くとしておきます。
ちょっと慣れてきて良かったと思っていたら、思わぬ所でつまずきましたが、まあ、描き方は変わらないので大丈夫大丈夫。
Grayscale is done. I like the look of the grayscale drawing. If your reference is in colour. You can edit the reference to be black and white. It helps to see the values without the colours.
グレートーンで描かれたイラスト好きです。参考にしている資料がカラーの場合、スマホのアプリなどでグレートーンにしておくと参考にしやすいです。

Hahaha I didn't mean too easy. I'm just looking for more depth in my drawing.
Oops, I always forget to mention about the tools I use...this one was done on Clip Studio with iPad and Apple Pencil.
呪術廻戦きちんと全てを読んだことはないのですが、面白かったです。呪術廻戦って発音難しいです。笑

呪術廻戦、こちらでも人気ですよね〜キャラクターがみんな魅力的です。
うちの次女ちゃんはまだ観ていませんが、お友達が大好きらしく、OPソングを聴き込んで歌詞をローマ字で書き出したとかで見せてっもらったり、ファンアートを見せてもらったりしましたよ。
It's fine, it just looks like it's been painted rather than cel shaded :) And this style probably works a lot better than realism as anime proportions are actually mildly terrifying when drawn/coloured realistically XD
Have you previously done an explanatory post of how you colour? If you haven't I would love to read one if you're willing to share/write one.

I have so much more to learn...if I choose to draw in different angles or poses, it would take hours to accomplish. That reminds me I should do more figure drawing. I tend to avoid 😭
He looks really pretty! Applying realism on a character with anime proportions is very tricky in my opinion. Often times when I try realism on an anime character, they end up looking completely different from the character ;w; There's this artist I've been following who does it flawlessly tho! https://www.artstation.com/artofneight

Jujutsu kaisen...well, I wish there were more story to it...I only watched anime, may be the manga is different...but the characters are very attentive and I like how they did the action scenes.
