Today we had a nice sunny day 9 degrees celsius outside time to explore how the garden is waking up from it's winter sleep , so for me the opertunity to grab the camera and get outside in the cold to capture some spring moments.

Last year i planted a lot of bulbs in 2 containers as you can see in my old post here
The Anemone is the first one flowering the rest will follow soon , both crocuses and tulips are already showing up above the ground, so it looks like there will be a lot of flower / macro pictures comming soon.

The rest of the flowers are growing outside of containers in the garden, just wondering why it's always the purple and white flowers coming out first...
or is it just a coinsedence ?

The snowdrops i also planted last year and i hope they will spread out in the garden so that there wil be more of them.

You have such a wonderful garden to work with! Nobody would ever know unless they religiously follow you just how compact your garden is, yet, you continue to bloom almost all year long.
I am surprised that I don't have any snowdrops as they are usually the first thing up in my garden and my daffodils are all up, tulips trailing, but not by far. Your dogwood is pushing forth! Yay! Who doesn't love a well-placed dogwood? I am still away until the weekend, my kids are giving me the flower report, telling me they have seen only one dogwood in bloom so far, but that is it, none are even budding yet. I think they need to go back and check the accuracy of their findings. 🤣
Oh, Anemones! They are always so fascinating to me, with their name being Greek for windflower. The flowers are blown open by the wind, then the wind continues to blow away the dead petals, making way for the new ones.

well the only school diploma i have was for gardening and still i ended up working in IT , but yeah i always put as many varieties as possible in the garden to make sure i havealways something flowering, to take pictures off .

Those anemones are simply stunning and I've always enjoyed seeing Snowdrops come up, one of my favourite bulbs. Lovely shots 🙂

Mooi al die paarse kleuren. Ik zie bij ons in de tuin ook de eerste knoppen en bloesem al komen.
Bloesem heb ik zelf niet in de tuin nog , wil dit jaar wel gaan kijken om een sier appel te planten
Wij hebben een japanse sierappelboom. Die wordt rond april/mei knalroze. Echt heel mooi.
Nu begint een ander boompje in bloei te komen. Weet niet precies welke, maar hij heeft rood blad.
Echt fijn dat de lente weer in aantocht is 👍
