Behind the scenes at LUV

in LUVHBIT Community2 years ago (edited)

It's time to pull back the curtain and see LUV behind the scenes.

I'm not sure that sounds exactly the way that I expected.

Transparency has been something I've striven for with @LUVshares (LUV) and @hivebits (HBIT). So, here's a behind-the-scenes look at the LUVbot in action. The video was made in real time. Between a LUV (or HBIT) command and a reply back is usually about 60 seconds or so.

What is shown

There are three gears working here: (1) the bot, the (2) Discord server, and (3) the Hive blockchain.

  1. The bot running on the VPS (virtual private server)
  2. The Discord log channel
  3. A !LUV command issued on the Hive blockchain
  4. The bot picking it up and sharing LUV
  5. The Discord log picking it up and logging the info
  6. The confirmation reply back on the Hive blockchain

A gif preview of the video.

The take-away

Anyone who uses LUV or HBIT can monitor things in the "log" channels of the LUV/HBIT Discord server. As you can see in the 3Speak video, things happen there in near real time with the bot itself.

The log channels are good for transparency and are good if you ever wonder, "Did my command get picked up by the bot?"

Wow ... impressive what's happening behind the scene!

Hope that you see my other comment where I said that bot commands enclosed with backticks aren't counted by the LUV bot towards the "max two bot commands with the LUV command on a single comment" rule. 🤗😅

!WEIRD !DIY

I did see that, thanks.

Let me test the !LUV command again with more than 2 other bot commands on the same comment. 😏

!GIF !luv !love !MEME !FUN

Looks like it in fact did not go through.

Maybe it's because I tried to use the LUV command again when I already successfully tipped LUV 10 times today (UTC). 🤔 Although I was expecting a "failed" notification comment from the LUV bot. 😅

Have some !PIZZA with !LOLZ! 😁

A man tried to sell me a coffin today.
I told him that's the last thing I need.

I think you're right about the 10+. I saw that in the log channel in the luv-hbit Discord. There was no too many ! Command notes there. Maybe try again when you're not over 10 luv in one day.

Let me test again using the !LUV command with 3 other random "bot commands". 🤔😏

!somethingrandom !thisisabotcommand !ilovetesting

Let me try testing the !LUV command again with other variations of the command on the same comment. 😅

!luv !love !Love

Let me test just using the !LUV command basically 4 times on this comment. 🤔🤯😅
