Hello again !! I think I'll be using and doing more drawings in traditional media, all for the electricity, well, I'll show you what I'm doing when the time comes, I'll do it, while I keep "taking advantage of the lack of electricity."
I made this drawing on a watercolor canvas and used an eraser, two pencils, one 3B, and another 8B, then I wanted to give it a watercolor finish. That's what I was looking for from the start when I made this portrait.
This is the character I used as a reference to make this portrait. I did it once, well, now twice with this one, so three times in total, a portrait. I've taken some photos so you can see the process of this drawing. I wanted to show some texture, I'm not good with photos, but I think you can still notice a bit.
I traced some lines to create the shape of the face, then I started with the nose and part of the lip. As I said, I don't have an exact rule for sketching, so I can start from any part. Then I'll make it fit. | I've completed a bit more of the portrait of this girl. It wasn't so detailed, but it was taking better shape. I worked with a 3B pencil, which wasn't very clear, but I tried not to apply too much pressure. |
---|
It was time to add the character's details to the portrait. I made some details to see where the hair braids and armor would go. I still had some lines to erase later. | Using the eraser gently, I tried to clean up the entire sketch and also give a better structure to things because they weren't as defined before. Now I could work on the rest. |
---|
With the clean portrait, I could define and add shadows, so I started in some parts like the hair, for which I used the 8B pencil, which is a darker pencil. | I gradually accentuated almost everything practically, also worked on the eyes, I didn't want to fill everything with graphite. It was fine like that. |
---|
I wanted to add color that didn't look so invasive, I wanted something smooth and tried not to completely eliminate the lines or the texture of the watercolor canvas, which I thought was very good.
Your work now is very bright and cute @yanes94, and now you make beautiful manual drawings🥰☺..have you changed your drawing style now?
Ahahaha, no, I just take advantage of the power outage to go back to what I used to do before. I used to work with different materials, I use my pencils from time to time, and now, since the electricity fails every day, it seems like I have an excuse to use them.
I'm still working on things, but I can't show them until I finish them. That's what I work on while there's electricity
Power outage? How come the power goes out so many times? which city do you want to live in? It is very difficult to live in this era if the electricity often goes out, and the result can also damage household electronic equipment with the threat of quite a lot of costs in the future😰, But I admit that your traditional and digital work is equally amazing
Bellisimo trabajo, se ve bastante realista siendo a mano realmente es spectacular. felicidades, La mejor de las suertes y éxitos en el concurso @yanes94.

I like the textures on her braids. Really enhances the quality of the hair.
Those dancing strokes of the hair .... the brightness in the eyes, the light in them make a harmonious and beautiful face and elf character. I love elves! beautiful work!😍
