Good night , morning or afternoon my friend!!!
Hello and warm greetings to all of you who are fans of the #Splinterlands game. I want to show you the drawing that I have created for the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge - Theme: Rebellion!
Since the Rebellion packages came out, I've been mainly working on the Death Splinter ones. I haven't used these cards yet, but well, this Splinter was one of my favorites, so let's continue with the rest.
Although it's worth noting that these characters align with my current timeline. I didn't add that dark touch to this particular character that I've been incorporating lately.
I've been practicing a bit more with Corel canvases, and this time I used one with a quite peculiar texture. Right now, I don't remember its name, but if I see it, it seems like it's made of wood? I don't know; you tell me if you can notice it.
I made a video of this process, it's quite fast, and since it wasn't so long, I edited it. I think it's the first time in a long time that I haven't lost any part of the video while drawing. And it's not because I don't have some ups and downs with electricity, in fact, it's still happening.
Wow, something crazy happened. Electricity was decent, and it didn't fail on Christmas day at least where I live. I don't know if it failed elsewhere, but the truth is that the day before and after until today, it keeps failing. Happiness lasted for a day, how short.
Santa didn't bring me a gift; I suppose the fact that electricity didn't fail counted as one. Alright, it could have been worse😅
Well, we're back to reality. (Closing)
Continuing: it's not because I made the video in various parts; if I don't save it in advance, even if it takes 30 minutes or more, sometimes less, later, I don't know if I can recover it, and the format in which it's saved isn't accepted by the video editor I use.
You can watch the video here
I didn't upload it to YouTube, but it's on X.
I have started this drawing. With a few spots that little by little I gave shape to have a base of the portrait of this character.
When I was already happy with the base I had, I detailed things a little more, there was already a little more depth in some parts, although I had started with a very clear base, as I progressed I added darkness and lights in some places.
Although some things had been making some progress, I had practically done nothing on the face yet, so I set out to do some of the main parts, but nothing too detailed, just for a base. I was going to improve it later.
Improving the structure and features of the face, I noticed some things that didn't look right, and I changed them. The character's eyes are pink with black.
From the previous step, I just had to focus on detailing things more and improving what I already had. I added a bit more volume to the hair, and the face looked less flat.
Although this portrait is relatively simple, I wanted to detail some things. I added a bit of darkness and lights to the golden detail she has on her head, which improved the appearance since it looked more dull and flat before. There wasn't much left to finish this.
To finish, I adjusted some colors, added some lights, and I think I needed to do something with the eyes. I always leave the eyelashes for the end😄. After accentuating some highlights, everything was ready.

Your use of texture in your artwork is quite clever; it gives it a tactile element that makes it very captivating."
Thank you so much! In particular that's what I like about the brushes I'm using lately 👌 they have quite a bit of texture. 😊😊
