Greetings everyone, this is my second post in which I will be talking about one of the topics I am most interested in when making art which is creativity and inspiration. As I mentioned in my first post, I believe in the muses in art and in the fixations that artists can develop in their work as an identification or perhaps a reflection.
Video made by myself, the program i used was youcut.
Let's start at the beginning. What makes an ordinary person, become a muse?According to the "Heaven sent honey" channel it is said that muses are a whisper in the ear of the one who was invoking or looking for them. Somehow, it could come to feel like a charm or a possession for those who notice them. In this case the artists. In my experience, I have had a total of four muses in my lifetime. I feel that muses usually follow a specific pattern that resonates with the inner self of each artist. As if they have a specific anatomy, in which the author feels that somehow underneath all the beauty, mystery and ethereal aura lies some secret or truth that they want to uncover. According to my reserved personality I usually resist the idea that I have found a new muse when I find one, as showing fascination with an object, person or feeling can feel like a vulnerability. But, upon reflection, it is more than necessary to be vulnerable in art. I don't mean it in a way that they can come to hurt us, but in the sense that at least in the sketches before bringing out the final work, the artist should know exactly what they are doing, feeling and accept it, either as a gift or as a burden. I recommend more the part of feeling it as a gift. On this occasion we will be mentioning my muse number 4, who is the most recent and the one I still live with.
it has already gone through two names, I have decided to name it in a different way so that as I mentioned when looking at the muse, the artist's perspective is reflected, but not his or her net personality. This work began being called jouhatsu, like the phenomenon of lost people in Japan. Curious that it is a name that has to do with mystery and that my muse chose it on his own. In this case, I would like to give my touch to the representation of him by naming it now as "hitotsu" which means "one thing", "alone" but can be understood as the primordial. This is a bit of a play on words, as I have previously been guided by names for similar purposes that have this ending "tsu". Such as one of my characters "ibutsu", my deceased cat "himitsu", my current muse "jouhatsu" and finally the name assigned by me for the muse "hitotsu".

Were other characters with the "tsu" that I could have chosen. But I decided I wanted this one specifically as it has to do with my muse's personal history, mine and the meaning of each name. Thus jouhatsu, would be that which is lost, without papers, in a strange environment and having no intention of being found by what it once knew. Hitotsu, would be the personal valuation I would give to my muse as that of solitude, originality, appreciation and priority. As a "I found you, even though you didn't want to be found." Going back to the anatomy of muses, I think it was important for me to differentiate between what a muse is and an idol or a kind of crush. At first I received a lot of criticism from my peers, friends and other communities. Because we were the same age and in our youth, it was perceived as if I had a crush on him. This made me repress myself a lot because I was not understood. I think it's important to question yourself in those moments. If you want to be like your muse, you have found an idol. If you feel attraction and jealousy, you have found a crush. But if you feel that your observation skills have improved, you are more self-absorbed than usual, your art becomes more consistent, creative and you enjoy the process more. Congratulations, you have found a muse. When i saw my muse for the first time, i felt like i was suddenly in a bubble. In peace and self-absorbed. specially the first time i saw him smilling the world for me literally stopped. . According to this information, this is what would be defined as the "ethereal aura" that all muses need to have in order to be muses. The problem lies in when that muse reveals a dark naturalness that manifests itself in the author's art itself, since each muse has a different effect and we attract them by specific characteristics. But this will be a point to be discussed in the next post.
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for the second part, I leave attached the drawing process with some explanations of how I did it.
