Splinterlands Art Contest Week 373!

Hello friends, Alien Art community and all those who in one way or another enjoy the universe of Splinterlands. A new week means a new opportunity to draw and have a good time. Today I want to share with you my latest fan art of one of the creatures from this universe: Enchanted Pixie. I also want to take this opportunity for this to be my entry for the Splinterlands Art Contest Week 373. I hope you enjoy both the blog and the fan art. As always, I will be sharing the progress, some explanations, and a bit of the general lore of this beautiful and charismatic character.

Hola amigos, comunidad de Alien Art y todos los que de una forma u otra disfrutan del universo de Splinterlands. Nueva semana, nueva oportunidad de dibujar y pasar un buen rato. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi último fan art de una de las criaturas de este universo: Enchanted Pixie. Además, quiero aprovechar la ocasión para que esta sea mi entrada para el Splinterlands Art Contest Week 373. Espero que disfruten tanto el blog como el fan art. Como siempre, estaré compartiendo el progreso, algunas explicaciones y un poco del lore general de este hermoso y carismático personaje.

Enchanted Pixie is a beautiful and magical creature, more than a fairy she is a spirit of nature and a powerful guardian. This creature was born from a magical meteorite, which makes her the possessor of unique abilities in the universe of the game, a being as beautiful as she is powerful. When the meteorite touched the ground in the Swamps of Living Moss, the heliostones buried in the mud reacted with a magical burst of creation, a scene that allowed the magic of outer space to join with the earthly, a mixture of powerful nature. In a huge frenzy of light and noise, thousands of small flying creatures emerged from the swamps and spread across the Shattered Lands. The time of the Pixies had begun. In the universe of Splinterlands there are many Pixies, but this one is my favorite because of her color and design. I imagine her full of brightness and magic, and that is how I want to draw her.

I started by making an easy drawing of the face, only looking for the general structure and shapes. A drawing without much precision, just the base of what will be the face of my character. I also imagined how I would place the hair, respecting the short hairstyle that she has in the original card design, the smile that I would later change along with the position of the eyes and nose, and of course placing her large and powerful wings.

Comencé haciendo un dibujo fácil del rostro, solo buscando la estructura general y las formas. Un dibujo sin mucha precisión, solo la base de lo que será el rostro de mi personaje. También imaginé cómo colocaría el pelo, respetando el peinado corto que tiene en el diseño original de la carta, la sonrisa que más tarde cambiaría junto con la posición de los ojos y la nariz, y no puede faltar ubicar sus grandes y poderosas alas.

I refined my initial sketch little by little until I was happy with the result. I added some little stars on the face that give it a kawaii touch and a halo with some small shining stars. I made the smile from the first sketch a bit more dangerous, showing one of her fangs, to give the idea that she is not only a beautiful creature but also powerful and dangerous. I drew the eyes very large and wide open.

Le coloqué algunas estrellitas en el rostro que le da un toque kawaii y un halo con unas pequeñas estrellas brillantes. A la sonrisa del primer boceto la hice un poco más peligrosa y mostrando uno de sus colmillos, para dar esta idea que no es solo una bella criatura, también es poderosa y peligrosa. Los ojos los hice muy grandes y abiertos.

The next step was to make the line art of my drawing. I did it using a solid brush at 0.9px, and I also played a little with changes in line thickness.

Lo siguiente fue hacer el line art de mi dibujo. Lo realicé utilizando un pincel sólido a 0.9px, y jugué un poco también con los cambios de grosor de línea.

The next step, after having all my line art, was to give the basic colors to my drawing. After having the basic colors, the next step will be to add some volume, highlights, and textures, not only with brushes but also with some effects and layer adjustments. I want my drawing to be full of brightness, full of colors and energy. Since it will be much easier to show, I will share an animation in GIF format of my process from the sketch, line art, to the coloring and final details. I hope you enjoy the drawing process.

Lo siguiente fue, después de tener todo mi lineart, dar los colores básicos de mi dibujo. Después de tener los colores básicos, lo siguiente será darle un poco de volumen, brillos y texturas, no solo con los pinceles sino con algunos efectos y ajustes de capa. Quiero que mi dibujo esté lleno de brillo, lleno de colores y energía. Como será mucho más fácil para mostrar, les compartiré una animación en formato GIF de mi proceso desde el boceto, lineart, hasta el coloreado y los detalles finales.
