I'm not saying I know how they ought to do it, specifically.
Each thing I create is an experiment.
But when you make a project / collection, you are competing with a different field of people than the people who are doing one off pin-ups.
And, when you leverage your project on multiple platforms, then you're not as dependent on HIVE power downs, which changes the culture from "reward pool is money" to "reward pool is a tool to incentivize community engagement, which I am cultivating on HIVE."
Basically @kristyglas with the Pixel Art Community, or yourself with the @Onchainart Community.
You have an incentive to stake more, because you want to be able to reward your community for engagement.
But, the problem is that your community members do not have the same incentive that you do.
This is because they are not building an audience or a project on HIVE, they are simply posting.
It's the same problem with cryptoart where people just put up a thing, without context, and try to sell it.
Or, Commission hunting in FIAT, when you just try to copy an en vogue thing, and solicit low ball commission offers for money.
.:.
It's a basic lack of business competence, or awareness that you might even need business competence to be in art.
It's just -
- will draw anything for $15!!!!
- NFTS ON SALE FOR 15 HIVE
- POST AND GET HIVE MONEYS FOR REWARD POOL AND TAKE THEM FREE MONEY FOR MY PASSIONS.
Obviously this irritates me because I'm guilty of all of them, but you can see how this will become less and less sustainable, when more and more competent people move into these cryptoart spaces.
