I appreciate the response.
I can't imagine who would click on an ad in the OnchainArt community, and actually have that traffic convert to reliable income. Maybe that shows a lack of insight on my part.
I say this because most people are in that community to get rewards for posting, or to get rewards for curation, or because of the sense of community [and also the reward pool].
I'm also not claiming that you would take the ad revenue, and even if you did, that's your business as a community manager.
As far as I see it, that's a balance you'll need to strike with the members of your community - I assume.
I see how ad revenue for buying back tokens could subsidize sell pressure .
And I see how turning everyone into a person with an art business is or a curation based business is not realistic.
.:.
I'm trying to think of who would actually pay to advert on Onchain Art, and how people would click through and that person could actually make a profit.
Maybe advertisement space in Cryptovoxels, claiming that if you invest in this advert space, then you'll get more eyes, and then people would jump on that.
Maybe Cintiq.
Maybe Art Camp With Skeenee?
All of this stuff is basically geared toward improving the bottom line business wise of each of the artists, so that their own income increases.
And it's only justified or legitimate if it actually helps the people who buy from those offers increase their business savvy for their art projects.
But, I could be limited in my imagination of what is a desireable thing by the people who are in the onchainart community.
.:.
I don't think Root's ALICE project would do well.
I don't think Makersplace would need to advert.

I don't think that SMTs are a bad idea.
Enough people talk about them that they could cause a hype bubble just by releasing them.
But, as you say, a sufficient amount of people would need to take the SMT tool, and then turn it into a profitable -- value generating -- value investing business on HIVE -- which in turn, would combine with ad revenue to buoy or slowly increase price -- and potentially convince people that building a business with their art or curation, is more valuable than just taking the rewards and hoping for whale upvotes.
The fantasy at that point is that when people are building up HIVE from the inside, instead of basically cannibalizing it, then, speculative investors would see that, and think -- This is a promising ecosystem.
And then, we can see another glory day of above $1 or higher.
But, the lack of dependence on speculation, and the increasing reliance on substance based business support -- investing value / building value into the ecosystem, may help the price sustain the sort of highs that people are looking for, rather than just create a bubble.
I appreciate the conversation.
