Byzantine Kitty fanart for Splinterlands social media challenge .

Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing great. I'm excited to share my latest artwork with you all. This time, I created a fan art piece of Byzantine Kitty, one of the most powerful and beloved cards in Splinterlands. I made this for Splinterlands social media challenge .

So, let's dive into the details of my artwork. The Byzantine Kitty card features three adorable characters: a cat, an otter, and a quokka. Fun fact—before starting this piece, I had never even heard of a quokka . I initially thought it might be something like a rat, but after some quick research (thanks, Google Lens!), I discovered what a quokka really is. It’s such a cute little animal! Learning about this quirky creature helped me approach its design with more personality and charm.

The art I did in my style here, the main focus of the piece, I drew the Byzantine kitty in a mid-jump position, which every cat owner will find familiar. I wanted to capture that typical chubby, fluffy cat energy, with those big, sparkling eyes .

On one side of the kitty, I added a whimsical otter with wings, floating gracefully, and on the opposite side, a small, cheerful quokka. The quokka was especially fun to draw because it's not a creature you usually see in fantasy art, and I tried to give it as much cuteness and elegance as possible.

I used Illustrator to brighten up the artwork - I literally wanted to turn the whole scene into a glowing masterpiece and that's what I did. With bright star effect that makes it look magical. From the initial sketch to the final touches I tried to make it beautiful. I've included some images of my creative process below, so you can see how the artwork evolved step by step.
