Which I really don't believe in, the new year begins with the spring equinox.

The idea was that I would post the Phoenix painting on CHRISTMAS EVE as a gift from Santa to all of you.
The painting has been finished for several months, but you know you want to save on the goodies.
During this great depression, I have really had my muse with me! In 2 months I have painted 17 paintings that I will soon show you all.

Nu längtar villa alla till en nybörjan så här på det nya året. Som jag verkligen inte tror på, det nya året börjar med vårdagjämningen. Men i alla fall så änskar jag er alla en god fortsättning på det nya året.
Meningen va att jag skulle posta Fenixmålningen på JULAFTON som en gåva från Tomten till er alla.
Målningen har varit färdig i flera månader, men ni vet att man vill ju spara på godbitarna. Under den här stora depretionen har jag verkligen haft min musa med mig! På 2 månader har målat 17 målningar som jag snart ska visa er alla.

This phoenix turns out to be a bird of paradise with one of those fancy tail feathers. I really like the effect of digging into the paint to create the dimensional feathers on the body. Looking forward to all those paintings you made.

Oh thank you so much! I have adapted to a slightly smaller canvas, before I painted the 70s, 80s, 90s, I painted large paintings, which I sold or gave away. Nowadays I paint a maximum of 50X50 cm, now I almost only paint 40X40 cm. I paint on tables because I paint a lot of details and patterns. My paintings are to be hung alone on a small wall at eye level.
I have painted pictures up to two metres long and one metre high... but I had space, now I don't have it and I do what you do, I paint in 30x40 most of them although I have 40x60. Easier, isn't it? Thanks to you!
