Red Star
Red and Blue Kachina comes from the Hopi Indians. I'm a bit obsessed with old prophecies. It definitely triggers my imagination when using these ideas as inspiration!
The first star will be the red Kachina which will appear in 2040 and after that the Blue Kachina will come in 2045 then the new beginning of our time will come!
Blue Star
In our part of the world, the red Kachina is the Phoenix. Then comes the blue Kachina called Nemesis.
My painting can be perceived as cold in its expression. It's a bit difficult to paint with a broken collarbone, but I'm at least trying.
It's not that much work with my painting, actually used a chablom. To bring out the smoky note!

It's a beautiful painting! I love its simplicity. I always find it fascinating how a limitation can change a style, like in your case struggling with mobility while your collarbone heals. I hope you're recovered by now!
I've been to Hopi land a couple of times. It's very dry and austere, lots of expansive views of desert mesas. Stark beauty. The culture is amazing, and somehow both times I've managed to arrive just in time to see a ceremony with dancing. Completely unplanned.
The painting is amazing, just as you called, it is seemingly cold on the way it looks, but above all, it is creative, continue to have a good time 🥰🙏

I missed this one in my feed. I grew up near the Hopi reservations who have Kachina in their culture. The colors remind me of their various dolls. And the circle reminds me of their dances.
I really like your work! I’ve never had a graceful talent for paint such as yours - although I am now trying to focus on building my sketching abilities.
