Diseño de personaje El Cuatrero / Character design "El Cuatrero".

Hoy les muestro el proceso de diseño de este personaje al que le llamé “El cuatrero” y como en esta comunidad hay Aliens de distintos planetas quiero definir primero el instrumento “el cuatro” (por eso el nombre). “El cuatro” es un instrumento típico de Venezuela, el país donde habito, generalmente escuchado en las regiones llaneras. Debo admitir que en algún momento toqué cuatro como un tosco fanático, y bueno tiene un sonido y una forma muy particular.

Today I show you the design process of this character that I called "El cuatrero" and since in this community there are Aliens from different planets I want to define first the instrument "the four" (hence the name). “El cuatro” is a typical instrument from Venezuela, the country where I live, generally heard in the plains regions. I have to admit that at one point I played four as a rude fan, and well it has a very particular sound and shape.

Comencé a realizar esta ilustración bosquejando la idea, pues este personaje a pesar de que no tiene muchos elementos me resulto muy complejo, es un estilo cartoon, realicé tres bocetos muy rápidos, sin gustarme ninguno trate de combinar los tres y obtuve este resultado que me ha gustado.

I began to make this illustration by sketching the idea, because this character, despite the fact that it does not have many elements, was very complex for me, it is a cartoon style, I made three very quick sketches, without liking any of them, I tried to combine the three and I obtained this result that I loved. has liked.

Luego dibujé algunas poses para ver distintas expresiones de este personaje tomando en cuenta su cualidad de cuatrero cantante.

Then I drew some poses to see different expressions of this character taking into account his quality as a singing rustler.

Luego dibujé la silueta del personaje para dar volumen y color pues es una paleta neutra, así que lo relevante de este personaje seria la forma y el instrumento “el cuatro”. Ya el personaje tiene color. Se ve algo sencillo e iconográfico ¡pero sí que me ha costado dibujarlo!

The character already has color. It looks something simple and iconographic, but it was hard for me to draw it!

¡Bueno! Ya la idea del personaje estaba definida así que comencé con el concept y bueno es una postura serena trate de mantener el equilibrio en todos los elementos de la imagen el color que más destaca es el azul de la vestimenta, ya que los demás es un juego monocromático de sepias y amarillos poco saturados. ¡Espero que les guste esta ilustración!

Well! The idea of ​​the character was already defined so I started with the concept and well it's a serene posture trying to maintain balance in all the elements of the image the color that stands out the most is the blue of the clothing, since the rest is a game monochrome of sepias and low saturated yellows.
