Splinterlands art contest week 241/Iza the Fanged (Colored pencils)

Good afternoon all art lovers, today I share with you a new artwork as well as my entry for the #splinterlands art contest week 241 "Iza the Fanged".

According to splinterlandswiki Iza is a dangerous figure, she lives in deep forests and many scary rumors spread in the villages about her, she doesn't use special weapons like swords to attack her prey, but she uses her strength to control tree vines and thorns to ensnare its prey, pull it up and hang it, she does not hesitate to catch people who enter her territory and eat them, no one knows exactly what will happen to the victims she catches because they will all be paralyzed after one bite from the very venomous fangs and nothing who managed to escape her, she can attract men to become prey.

Process

I'm going to make some model poses with the help of the Poseit app, after spending a few hours then I decided to pose the picture below for reference.

After determining the pose, I continued to sketch using a graphite pencil.

I had a bit of trouble figuring out the proportions of the faces so I had to do it over and over again.

After completing the sketch stage, I proceed to the drawing object outline stage using a black pen.

After the outline stage was finished, I started shading slowly using a straight-line technique using a pen.

The final stage is coloring, I used Faber-Castell colored pencils at this stage, I chose Faber-Castell because apart from being easy to use, they don't break easily and give deeper colors, so it's no wonder that many illustrators recommend this brand's colored pencils for beginners.
