I am glad you finished the painting and didnt give up on the hair! I think it looks amazing how it turned out, especially that you used so many different shapes, or curls and how you mixed different colours and techniques! whats actually the size of your artwork? I could imagine it quiet well as a very big painting covering half of a wall, but maybe I am totally wrong..:))
Thank you so much for your kind words. I am glad that i didn't give up also. This is different than any other hair that i've done before. Maybe that's why i started out not being so pleased. I usually prefer more of a realistic looking hair when it comes to the detail and shape. But, in the end i just used the colors to do the details. Hahahaha
I come from a drawing background so i usually think in terms of rendering it in pencil/pen and then color... then touch up with some details with the ink. This time i thought a little outside of my box to solve my problems. I still know it's not what i set out to do... but i have to let the art be more organic than me trying to control every aspect.
So, thanks for noticing all the things you mentioned in your observations. This artwork was made on a standard sheet or printer paper. 8.5x11 inches... but i'm not sure what that is in y'alls metric size. hahhaa
I appreciate you stopping by and taking the time to leave a meaningful comment! Have a great week my friend. =)
