Queen Violet Viper Wasp

At over 8 feet long, the Queen Violet Viper Wasp rules her colony with an iron will. Her elongated segmented body resembles armored violet metal, polished to an iridescent sheen. She possesses four broad glittering wings bedecked in flashing neon purple strokes resembling lightning bolts. These prismatic wings can beat with enough force to shatter stone when she takes flight.

Running down the Queen's back are jagged spinal ridges lined with rows of curved violet quills poised to inject their paralytic venom. Under these razor ridges extends her wickedly curved and serrated stinger which terminates in a sharp point able to pierce most substances with ease. This bladed stinger secretes corrosive venom that can melt through solid crystal or metal given time.

The Queen's abdomen pulses with hypnotic purple bioluminescent patterns resembling the shape of a jeweled crown, proclaiming her utter dominance. The vivid light throbs in time with her commands telepathically issued to her mind-linked wasp legions. From her dripping stinger tendril hangs gleaming viscous venom with a mirror-like consistency that appears deceptively beautiful, but can burn through flesh rapidly.

She builds elaborate alien nests housing hundreds of egg chambers along winding crystalline tunnels with precision-hexagonal cells. Within these dizzying halls the color-coded larvae of wasp drones, warriors and future queens incubate until hatching. Once they emerge, the adult wasps are completely under her psychic control as extensions of the Queen's indomitable will.
