It began as a tiny twinge whenever asked to remove items from his To-Do List. Some items waited for decisions more than three years. Others are still pending. That's because love for his new home quickly cooled after showing it off to others. Pride in his accomplishments came naturally along with his career successes. He could afford the best so he purchased the best.
Combined with the best that his funds could buy, Aaron was a professed jack-of-all-trades. No job presented to him was too difficult to overcome.
And he proclaimed his knowledge and skills to all who knew him. Asking for assistance wasn't never in his plans. His hubris for all things related to the illusions of the perfect "feeling of home" came crashing down unexpectedly one afternoon.
His wife, confident in her husband's abilities, removed all worry the project would be handled in a timely and efficient manner.
But as Aaron discovered, plumbing in all phases, best be left to professionals.
It wasn't his fault. Then again, it was his fault. Because no good ever came from bragging of one's prowess in any circumstances. You just might be called upon to prove your superior knowledge and skills.
That's what happened to Aaron. I call his story The DIY Disaster.

In the post, nftshowroom X alienarthive challenge for November: the feeling of home, NFTShowroom has featured all the month's feeling of home themed Art minted so far on the NFT Showroom's home page / twitter. Also, Alien Art Hive will be curating participants' blog posts. This challenge was intended for the full month of November. Participants were required to:
- make art incorporating the feeling of home theme;
- mint it on https://nftshowroom.com/;
- make a blog post about it in Alien Art Hive; and
- use #nftshowroom in your tags
Below are my steps I took to create my fifth design for this theme.

My Creation Process:
For creation of the "feeling of home" scene in this design, I wanted to take a different approach to create a humorous scene of home, although frustrating. I discovered an image of a man kneeling. He appears in distress over a situation. Perfect. He has to repair a broken faucet of which he has no clue how to perform.
The elements I added to his scene explained his dilemma. I thought the speech bubbles would add a humorous touch. Uploading all images into Canva, my design program, I added layers of elements.

Images included in my design:
Person sitting down in distress ~ Faucet ~ Three fingers ~ Red and green speech bubbles ~ Oops speech bubble

Thanks for taking the time to view my post. I hope you like my final mixed media project for the November challenge.

Sometimes it seems funny. Men have big egos, but often find themselves unable to complete many household chores.
Even though it's perfectly fine to ask for help. 😊
So true. And as partners, we find ourselves on the other end of the situation shaking our heads because it doesn't have to end like that. I count my hubby among those in that category. Even asking for directions sometimes leaves us retracing our route when the navigator fails. I want to laugh, but am often frustrated.
Thanks for your visit. I appreciate it.
We already knew the ending ehehe 🤣
