Today I designed a card character GOBALANO SOLDIER. Exploring some art style and color process and steps. I present to you my Fan Art hope you like it😌

Digital Art Process

As always, I started with a sketch for the pose and composition of the character in a layer. With a white background I made the sketch using a hard round brush with pen pressure. While sketching I thought that this soldier doesn't like to wear shoes at all because of much hassle that can be 😆

Then for the next step. I made the clean line art in a new layer.

In here, I added the grayish color this is serve as a mask layer. For the ground I just used a less saturated brown color as his base.

I added the base color of each parts starting with the skin color which is red but I did not fully go with a 100 red, I slightly adjust it to the orange side.

Followed by adding the bat with spikes that he is holding.

✨✨✨

Then adding the facial features such as hair, eyebrows, teeth and some cigar.

✨✨✨

Followed by adding the suit and pants.

✨✨✨

Finally the hat, knuckles, and coin.

✨✨✨

Then I start adding the shadows that is set to multiply blending mode. Darken the areas that is less or not hit by the light.

And then add the highlights in an overlay blending mode. Also add some highlights to the eye in a normal layer.

Final Artwork

Finally add some abstract background to finish the illustration.
