Esta pieza se inspira en los sangrientos sacrificios humanos realizados por la civilización Azteca como ofrenda a sus dioses. Generalmente, se extraía el corazón del sacrificado mientras el pobre desgraciado aún estaba vivo. Este era el "alimento" de los dioses.
English Version
This piece is inspired by the bloody human sacrifices performed by the Aztec civilization as an offering to their gods. Generally, the heart of the sacrificed was extracted while the poor wretch was still alive. This was the "food" of the gods.
Esta obra adopta una narrativa pop surrealista del concepto de sacrificio humano en las antiguas civilizaciones, donde se puede ver una breve historia contada a través de imágenes. Una historia de fe y fanatismo.
Proceso
Es un trabajo que hice digitalmente, cuyo primer paso en mi proceso es el trabajo de líneas o la capa de líneas. Bueno, en realidad empieza con un boceto a lápiz que hago con la idea, pero es tan caótico que sólo yo lo entiendo. Así es como empecé:
This work adopts a surreal pop narrative of the concept of human sacrifice in ancient civilizations, where you can see a brief story told through images. A story of faith and fanaticism.
Process
It is a work that I did digitally, whose first step in my process is the line work or the line layer. Well, it actually starts with a pencil sketch that I do with the idea, but it's so chaotic that only I understand it. That's how I started:
En cuanto a los colores, quienes conocen mi trabajo saben bien que me gusta utilizar colores planos y muy vivos. Siempre intento que los personajes tengan un aspecto colorido y "adorable".
As for colors, those who know my work know well that I like to use flat and very vivid colors. I always try to make the characters look colorful and "adorable".
Por último, añado los detalles finales de sombras y luces. Quería que el fondo fuera una especie de paisaje abstracto de la puesta de sol en una playa.
Finally, I add the final details of shadows and highlights. I wanted the background to be a kind of abstract landscape of a sunset on a beach.
