Últimamente he tenido varias ideas locas para hacer dibujos, por supuesto, con la habitual dosis de extrañeza que caracteriza a mis ilustraciones. Incluso hice notas en un cuaderno que siempre tengo muy cerca de esas ideas que desarrollaré más adelante. Un amigo mío me decía hace poco que si no controlas la cabeza, te acaba consumiendo. Bueno, cuando se trata de explosiones de creatividad en mi cabeza, prefiero estar totalmente consumido. Hoy les presento "Algo me Brota en la Cabeza".

Lately I have had several crazy ideas to make drawings, of course, with the usual dose of strangeness that characterizes my illustrations. I even made notes in a notebook that I always have very close to those ideas that I will develop later. A friend of mine recently told me that if you don't control your head, it ends up consuming you. Well, when it comes to explosions of creativity in my head, I prefer to be totally consumed. Today I present to you "Something Sprouts in my Head".
Esta cabeza es definitivamente incompatible con el cuerpo de este pobre tipo. Hay un brote de ojos, dientes y otras cosas raras en esa masa verde que debería ser su cabeza. Aparentemente este desafortunado sufre con lo que tiene sobre sus hombros y trata de quitárselo con la mano derecha, pero solo terminó empeorando las cosas.
Proceso
Ahora hablemos un poco sobre el proceso de creación de esta ilustración.
El concepto es el de un cuerpo humano con una cabeza monstruosa y desproporcionada, muy al estilo del "Lowbrow". Después de varios bocetos para definir la idea, llegué a un resultado que me agradó y procedí a realizar el diseño digital de la capa de líneas del personaje.
This head is definitely incompatible with this poor guy's body. There's a sprout of eyes, teeth, and other weird stuff on that green mass that should be his head. Apparently this unfortunate suffers with what he has on his shoulders and tries to take it off with his right hand, but only ended up making things worse.
Process
Now let's talk a bit about the process of creating this illustration.
The concept is that of a human body with a monstrous and disproportionate head, very much in the style of "Lowbrow". After several sketches to define the idea, I arrived at a result that pleased me and proceeded to make the digital design of the character's lines layer.
Quienes hayan seguido mis publicaciones últimamente sabrán que en el coloreado de estos bizarros personajes predomina el uso de colores llamativos. Esta no fue la excepción. Sin embargo, dividí el coloreado en dos secciones: la cabeza (y el diablillo que nos guiña el ojo) está coloreada con colores muy vivos y el cuerpo con colores más tenues. Quería que el cuerpo se pareciera al de un tipo normal.
Those who have followed my publications lately will know that in the coloring of these bizarre characters the use of striking colors predominates. This was no exception. However, I've divided the coloring into two sections: the head (and the winking imp) is colored with very bright colors and the body with more subdued colors. I wanted the body to resemble that of a normal guy.
Para complementar el coloreado de este tipo con cabeza rara, agregué una capa de sombras, reflejos y detalles en algunas áreas que quería resaltar.
To complement the coloring on this weird-headed guy, I added a layer of shadows, highlights, and details to a few areas I wanted to highlight.
Para que el fondo de la ilustración sea menos aburrido, puse un color púrpura brillante en contraste con la sombra del bizarro personaje. Es el resultado que ven en la primera imagen.

To make the background of the illustration less boring, I put a bright purple color in contrast to the shadow of the bizarre character. It is the result you see in the first image.
