I am decidedly not a fan of the selfie obsessiveness that seems to go hand-in-hand with the preexisting obsession with appearance in pop culture. Apparently Billie Eilish (spelling?) caught flak for being photographed with a perfectly normal physique instead of hiding an anorexic skeleton under her baggy clothing. I have seen so many appearance-obsessed people nearly destroy themselves in pursuit of a flawed ideal, and so many women came themselves in cosmetics for what?
