Few minutes before I made this post I checked up on the results of last weeks’ Splinterlands entries and number one was astounding. It was a comic expression by @bravetofu. You really won’t regret checking it out. What drew my attention to it was the illustration of Grum Flameblade. Seeing how he was the subject of my digital piece today I decided to share this with you.
I started this painting about three days ago.
The first thing I did was to fix the vector I told you I found some weeks back to suit the character of Grum. This took some time but due to the fact that I am getting used to the process, I was able to finish a little faster than usual.
Moving on to the feature of the character I tried as much as possible to gauge the body as well as the effects I felt were necessary regarding the depths and highlights.
You know how I have been complaining about drawing a good background, I thought of doing something in line with the character’s name and conjured some flame behind him. Thankfully the space behind him was not that much so I tapered some on his body to achieve a more realistic effect. All the same the making process as well as the finished work was nothing short of fun.
The process....
Its been a pleasure hosting you friends, thanks for stopping by.
