Morphed Faces From My Sketchbook

Hello, 👋 People of the 🌌 Universe!

Today I want to share a few [slightly] unusual sketchbook pages.

Each page depicts a morph of faces, many features blended into one continuous face-being. Because "strange times call for strange designs"... And because it's just fun to draw nonsense things. All of these sketches were made on paper with marker pen and watercolor.

For those who are curious, I'm still healing well from my injury earlier this month. Typing and using the computer with one hand is still slowww, but I'm doing it when I can. Just finished a watercolor portrait for an old friend that I'm hoping to share soon, with his blessing 🤞.

I'm KISSing it today (Keeping It Simple Sweetie), so this is where we remind each other to stay healthy, keep going and be well. For everyone who has the urge to start creating artful things and making useful things:

Do It!!

If you have specific or general feedback, please share in the comments. Thank you all so much! Bye for now.

Haha! I love it. This makes me want to start drawing again, it's been ages. I noticed you said you were recovering well from an injury, wish you the best in that process. I fractured my right wrist around 7 weeks ago (not too badly, but still impacted daily activities for a while) and it's just now getting usable for wrist-heavy activities like playing piano.

Ahh 😖 the wrist is so important! It can be easy to take our mobility and independence for granted, until an injury, that is. Good to hear you are mending properly, too. When the time is right for you to start drawing again, you'll feel it and it'll happen. At least that's what experience has told me. Thank you for your support, it's very much appreciated! Enjoy your 🎹🎹⏳ (piano time).

I'm sure there's someone somewhere out there who has had a nightmare just like this, or perhaps seen some characters like this when they got too drunk one night XD

I don't know why the bearded chick made me laugh so much.

Good to hear the injury is healing up all right, remember to take it easy even if you're thinking you'll be fine to just push it that tiny little bit to do that thing that isn't acttually that important in the grand scheme ;D

Ohh, lol! A drunken nightmare, I love it 😂.

And yes, ma'am. Taking it easy is my main focus for the next many weeks. Planning on coming out stronger than pre-. I really appreciate you, thank you!!

Really clever. I like how the expressions seem to change depending on which eye you focus on .

It's a trip, right? Like some kind of face kaleidoscope. Thanks Winston ;-D

LOL these are adorable I especially love the one with the chick/bird !

When I made them I was like, whoa these are too weird to share. So, I'm glad you proved me wrong. :) Thank you for your support!

The last one is so trippy, I love it haha. Some strange designs indeed, in an interesting way of course. These certainly live up to your quote "strange times call for strange designs"

Totally trippy! 😵 Here's to spreading a little good-hearted weirdness. Thank you!

Awesome! I'm glad to share some inspiration. Thank you for your support. 😄
