RE: Portrait Portrayal

This is truly wonderful @castleberry and the blue with the red is so vibrant. And you know we both love a 'ginger hair' so I'm even more enamoured of this one, well done and excited to see it grow.

It is good to have high standards, of course, but surely you can see it's lovely as is. I learned a long time ago that an artists idea of 'still in process' or a piece 'unfinished' is often done to the viewers eye. I still call pieces, unfinished but have happily taken compliments when other's find it a done painting. And I really like it in it's current iteration as well :)

That being said I just literally did a post where I'm talking about a piece 'unfinished' but still one never practices what one preaches, eh?

Yes, i totally agree about 'unfinished' being a perpetual state of a work in progress! hahahaha

Thank you for your kind words and i do see this as lovely as it is... it's just not what i had in mind. This paper doesn't take well to the colored pencil layers so my ability to blend and get the depth of tones i would like isn't up to my usual standards. I will finish it and be happy as it's own stand-alone piece. But, in the future i may attempt to create my vision once again! =)

Thanks for your encouragement and uplifting perspective. It definitely boosted my inspiration.
