Infinity 2020

Digitally painted from a handpainted acrylic on canvas piece i made over the course of 2020.
The aim of this piece is to conceptualize the toroidal energy that is Entropy and Genesis, Cause and Effect, Action and Reaction.
The Left Hand walks the orange ball and from here all motion begins and returns.
I wanted to represent various ways of pushing paint, expressing the multitude of paths that diverge from a point of Action/Decision.
I also wanted these painted paths to meet with each other, expressing what i feel as an individual, forging my own Path in Visionary//Esoteric// Jungian/Yeats-Spirituality and converging with other likeminded artists, like you!

I've been a bit down the last couple years about the law of Entropy and how it relates to our growth as a civilization. This painting is meant to challenge that law, or more accurately, my sadness about it. Perhaps from darkness can come light.

I included symbols of structure and paths, building and creation, and of Hekate (you can see most of these in the red filigree-like leaves)

Hope you enjoy! Now that it's digitized, I plan to animate it in the way it moves in my mind.
