Raining outside? No problem - Lightpainting on Hive

Hello!

Last night, I had the urge to go outside and do lightpainting. I had no opportunity to do a session since I visited the Black Caves a month ago.

I was checking the weather forecast for days and last night was supposed to be the night. Unfortunately, it started to rain a couple of minutes after I left home. Maybe it was just a big cloud passing by? No.

I had in mind to work with a pedestrian bridge I never made lightpainting with. Tryouts showed that location is promising...but I wasn't able to achieve pictures I had in mind because there were a lot a runners (litterally dozens of them) equipied with headlamps. What the hell are all these persons doing outside at night in December under the rain?!?

WHAT IS LIGHTPAINTING?
Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.
