Cyberpunk #13

Like lots of other people, I've been playing around with AI generated art (text to image). In my case, I've been using Stable Diffusion UI. Stable Diffusion UI is an easy to install version of Stable Diffusion that also includes a graphical user interface. I was able to get it running on both Windows and Linux without a problem. While the included GUI is nice, the easy install was what appealed to me the most. Some versions can be a pain to install and setup.

To get faster results you need a decent GPU with lots of VRAM. However, a GPU isn't necessary to use Stable Diffusion. If you don't have a GPU and use only the CPU, each image will take much longer to produce. It can take thirty minutes or more depending on your hardware and the settings you use. However, this is open source software so you can generate as many images as you want without worrying about limitations or fees.

One of the themes I've commonly used when creating prompts is cyberpunk. This prompt can produce images with a near future, retrofuture theme, or a more distant future theme. Like the steampunk series I've also been doing, the amount of punkishness (of whichever kind) can vary quite a bit. While this one has a definite sci-fi feel, I wouldn't say that it fits my vision of what cyberpunk is. In fact, to me this imagery looks like something that would be at home in the Star Wars universe. I'm a fan of Star Wars so that's not a bad thing, just not what I would have expected given the prompt. But then seeing how AI will interpret your prompts is a big part of the fun of generating AI art.
