Hi guys, I once again come bearing a gift, one expressed in a developing art form. You remember how some weeks ago I talked about experimenting with colours and how I was ready to take the long road till it pays off. Truth be told, I have been relying more on instincts and haven’t been able to see videos on how colours relate. When I first saw the reference I wanted to use for Iza, at first I doubted the result. One of the major reason was because I have drawn or painted Iza the Fanged several times and all the time it was an half portrait I used as a reference so naturally since she had a slithering tongue, I thought she had a tail. So imagine the excitement after about a year of thinking this when I coincidentally found this card below. It gave me the straight go ahead for this beautiful masterpiece.
I will try to get a different set of coloured pencils on one of my off days from work. Since I am currently experimenting, I want to test the softness of other pencils and see if they can work an even better magic than this and most preferably I will mix them up.
These are the colours I added to the mix. Some are multiple shades of each; red, orange, yellow, wine, green, blue, purple, brown, brown and gold.
