Sacred Unicorn Art Contest SPT

Empecé con un boceto base para plasmar la representación de la carta del Sacred Unicorn en forma de doncella, para luego sacar un segundo boceto aplicando un Pincel Grafito más delgado para que los trazos fueran más delicados y definidos agregando más detalles al personaje. De esta manera permitiéndome entonces líneas más uniformes y exactas que me facilitaron un delineado característico de la técnica del Entintado.

I started with a base sketch to capture the representation of the Sacred Unicorn card in the form of a maiden, and then I drew a second sketch applying a thinner graphite brush to make the strokes more delicate and defined, adding more details to the character. In this way allowing me more uniform and accurate lines that gave me a characteristic outline of the inking technique.

Ya en esta etapa aplique la técnica del Entintado, dándole una definición más subrealista al personaje y resaltando los trazos. Aplicando luego una capa de color para la piel, usando un tono sólido como base que me permitiera matizar con otras tonalidades y darle así expresión y vida al rostro, también para los labios, los ojos y el cuerno use tonos sólidos como base. Por otra parte, en el cabello si aplique un tono base pero con un azul turquesa bastante claro aplicado con un Pincel Acuarela, dando toques de manera aleatoria.

At this stage I applied the inking technique, giving a more surrealistic definition to the character and highlighting the strokes. Then I applied a layer of color for the skin, using a solid tone as a base that allowed me to shade with other shades and give expression and life to the face, also for the lips, eyes and horn I used solid tones as a base. On the other hand, on the hair I did apply a base tone but with a very light turquoise blue applied with a watercolor brush, giving touches in a random way.

Para finalizar agregué sombreado con tonos más saturados en la piel dando profundidad y volúmen que definieron las secciones faciales, de la misma manera aplique en el cabello con un pincel acuarela sombreados con un tono azul turquesa más oscuro para luego pasar a un azul más oscuro y de mayor fuerza, resultando un efecto más subrealista . Quería cambiar de fondo para ver desde otra perspectiva los colores que utilice, aplicando un gris. Y con una capa de luminosidad y brillo, añadí un fucsia vibrante al cuerno para representar la carta original de Splinterlands del Sacred Unicorn, del cual emana diversos rayos y estrellas luminosas como especie de un aura mágica que resplandece en las facciones y cabellos de la Sagrada Doncella Unicornio. Finalmente decidí un fondo bastante expresivo, con diferentes salpicaduras de colores que hicieran juego con este estilo de colores acuarela.

To finish I added shading with more saturated tones in the skin giving depth and volume that defined the facial sections, in the same way I applied in the hair with a watercolor brush shading with a darker turquoise blue tone to then move to a darker blue and more strength, resulting in a more surrealistic effect. I wanted to change the background to see from another perspective the colors I used, applying a gray. And with a layer of luminosity and brightness, I added a vibrant fuchsia to the horn to represent the original Splinterlands card of the Sacred Unicorn, from which emanates various rays and luminous stars as a kind of magical aura that shines on the features and hair of the Sacred Unicorn Maiden. Finally I decided on a quite expressive background, with different splashes of colors to match this watercolor style.
