Big Hugs to YOU! I know i have times where i don't feel inspired and that makes my creativity diminish. It's hard to get the ball rolling when i get in that state. So, i try hard to just do something... and usually it gets a little momentum.

I don't understand lacking confidence, so i can only relate to a degree, but i do understand the frustration of not being able to put down what i have in my mind. I generally tend to make that work out into something eventually, even though it wasn't what i had originally intended.

I have been drawing since i was a tiny kid and was considered one of the best artists of my age range all throughout school. I almost quit art in 7th grade over not being able to get a nose and it's perspective right. I could never get the nose to turn out right when i drew people.

Eventually, i saw an illustration on the back of a book (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) of a boy. The angle his head was at was the 3/4 perspective. He wasn't facing directly forward and he wasn't at a profile. I always drew noses at a profile angle even when the subject was face forward.

Something about seeing the middle ground on what was causing me so much trouble made the light bulb pop on and it just clicked. But i was so super close to just giving up art altogether. I am so grateful and thankful that i stuck with it and persevered onward.

I would encourage you to be easier on yourself. I know it's easier said than done... but you deserve to be liberated from self-doubt and negative thinking that would staunch your creativity and it's natural process. Your art has a particular beauty to it and while we could all be better artists, it's not like you don't have skill or talent. So, be encouraged to go a bit easier on yourself.

Anytime you need some uplifting encouragement... feel free to reach out!
