Process in pictures - Proceso en imágenes

My style is not usually abstract, in fact I don't dream to make that kind of designs or paintings but in this occasion I looked for images that I liked for some reason and then leave to the freedom of the imagination to create as if my head doesn't know what my hand is doing when it designs. I was sure that I wanted the design to have lots of colour, lots of shapes, brushstrokes, circles and when I was choosing the images I did find some horses that I liked and a woman's face.

At that moment I did the inverse process to what I always do, I didn't imagine the final design, I chose single images and then I let my creativity act. I loved the final result, intermingling all the images or parts of them, achieving a very crazy but harmonious whole at the same time.

Design process

The design was made entirely in Photoshop CS6, without the use of AI, with seven images distributed in twenty layers.

First of all, I created a light blue layer on which I placed the first painting image in two layers with overlay and darker colour blends and on it the abstract image with the focal light blend. Then I placed the image of the pink flower, which I would later use in two more layers, but in this one I used the focal light fusion and in the other two I only used part of the image, but changing the scale and position with darker colour and stronger light fusions, and these two I placed at the end of the design in the highest layers.

In between these three layers I continued with the design placing the image of the horses with focal light to work on the image of the woman in four layers, where the last one is only the right eye of the woman. The fusions I used in these four layers are: focal light, darker colour, normal and lighter colour. Before the eye layer I placed the image of the waves or circles, erasing some parts and I also put another layer of horses that I divided in half to move some of them near the left eye of the woman. The blending I used on these two layers is a darker colour.

Finally I took the image of the seeds or leaves and erasing previously quite a lot of background, I arranged it in several layers with different positions and scales using the mergers of strong light and focal light.

The animation is done completely in After Effects, working on the opacity of each layer and adding lights in the form of clouds for better contrast.

Mi estilo no es habitualmente el abstracto, de hecho, no sueño hacer ese tipo de diseños o pinturas, pero en esta ocasión busqué imágenes que me gustaran por algún motivo y luego dejar a la libertad de la imaginación que cree como si mi cabeza no supiera que hace mi mano cuando diseña. Si estaba segura que quería que el diseño tuviera mucho color, muchas formas, pinceladas, círculos y cuando estuve eligiendo las imágenes si unos caballos que me gustaron y el rostro de una mujer.

En ese momento hice el proceso inverso al que siempre hago, no imaginé el diseño finalizado, sino que elegí imágenes sueltas y luego dejé que actuara la creatividad. El resultado final me encantó, entremezclando todas las imágenes o partes de ellas, logrando un todo muy loco pero armonioso al mismo tiempo.

Proceso del diseño

El diseño lo realicé completamente en Photoshop CS6, sin uso de IA, con siete imágenes distribuidas en veinte capas.

Ante todo, creé una capa color celeste sobre la que coloqué la primera imagen de pintura en dos capas con fusiones de superponer y color más oscuro y sobre ella la imagen abstracta con la fusión de luz focal. Luego dispuse la imagen de la flor rosada, que luego usaría en dos capas más, pero en esta usé la fusión de luz focal y en las otras dos sólo usé parte de la imagen, pero cambiando la escala y posición con fusiones de color más oscuro y luz más fuerte, y estas dos las coloqué al finalizar el diseño en las capas más altas.

Entre medio de estas tres capas seguí con el diseño colocando la imagen de los caballos con luz focal para sobre esta imagen trabajar la de la mujer en cuatro capas, donde la última es sólo el ojo derecho de la misma. Las fusiones que usé en estas cuatro capas son: luz focal, color más oscuro, normal y color más claro. Antes de la capa del ojo coloqué la imagen de las ondas o círculos, borrando algunas partes y también puse otra capa de caballos que dividí a la mitad para mover algunos de ellos cerca del ojo izquierdo de la mujer. La fusión que usé en estas dos capas es color más oscuro.

Finalmente tomé la imagen de las semillas u hojas y borrando previamente bastante fondo, la dispuse en varias capas con distintas posiciones y escalas usando las fusiones de luz fuerte y luz focal.

La animación está realizada completamente en After Effects, trabajando la opacidad de cada capa y agregando luces en forma de nubes para un mejor contraste.
