Dreamy effect

Wow, hace mucho tiempo que no dibujaba y que no me esmeraba mucho en hacer algo, hoy tenia ganas de distraerme un poco pintando y fue bastante satisfactorio. A veces olvidamos hacer las cosas que nos hacen feliz pero cuando volvemos a ellas es bastante genial- Esta vez quise hacer un efecto borroso y a la vez luminoso. Siempre busco darle ese toque de nostalgia a mis dibujos y este en especial me gusto bastante, los colores, los tonos un poco fuera de lugar, los ojos, todo me parece muy cálido y hermoso. Espero que les guste.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've drawn or put much effort into anything. Today I felt like unwinding a bit with some painting, and it was quite satisfying. Sometimes we forget to do the things that make us happy, but when we return to them, it's wonderful. This time, I wanted to create a blurred yet luminous effect. I always try to give my drawings a touch of nostalgia, and I especially like this one. The colors, the slightly off-kilter tones, the eyes—everything seems so warm and beautiful. I hope you like it.

Proceso/Process

Realice el boceto y comencé a pintar la piel con colores bastante cálidos y oscuros, en una nueva capa añadí mas colores para darle forma por completo a toda la piel y cambie el fondo a un color oscuro para guiarme mejor sobre como manejar los colores y las sombras. Luego mezcle todos los colores con un pincel duro y repase con un pincel difuso para darle ese acabado suave a la piel.

I made the sketch and started painting the skin with fairly warm and dark colors. On a new layer, I added more colors to fully shape the skin and changed the background to a dark color to better guide me on how to handle the colors and shadows. Then I blended all the colors with a hard brush and went over it with a soft brush to give the skin that smooth finish.

Lo siguiente fue pintar las cejas, pestañas y cabello, quise hacer un cabello muy alborotado, ondulado y de un color marrón oscuro con pequeñas iluminaciones marrón claro. Empecé a darle profundidad y mas color a zonas especificas como los labios y pómulos y tambien añadí iluminaciones a los ojos, labios, cabello, nariz y hombro. Finalice realizando un leve ajuste de color y agregando un efecto borroso/brillante que logra ese dreamy effect

Next, I painted the eyebrows, eyelashes, and hair. I wanted to create very tousled, wavy hair in a dark brown color with small light brown highlights. I started adding depth and more color to specific areas like the lips and cheekbones, and I also added highlights to the eyes, lips, hair, nose, and shoulder. I finished by making a slight color adjustment and adding a blurring/brightening effect to achieve that dreamy look.
