Almost real. Series 1. Photographic interventions

in Alien Art Hive7 days ago (edited)

I have been doing this little experiment in image manipulation.
The idea came up when I was reviewing a set of photographs I took during a trip to the beach with friends. Contrary to what the photographs seem to suggest, it was a very fun and beautiful night.
There was laughter, teas for the heat, and the sea was as it usually is: gorgeous.
The sea of my city is beautiful both during the day and at night.
However, the conjunction of a set of lighting circumstances (there was an open water competition going on), the poor quality of my camera, and the gorgeous night light, resulted in some pretty interesting photographs.
Then I got to work with the image manipulation program GIMP, and little by little I took them with filters, effects and interventions directly with brushes, to the strange and ghostly area that was suggested to me from the beginning. Almost everything exposed was already suggested behind the images as an almost real story.
Thanks to the Alien Art Hive community for kindly hosting my post.
Espero que este trabajo les guste.
