the lack of censorship fascinated me

Yeah! This is really one of the reasons why I watched this movie! I really liked how Bones didn't shy away from portraying gore that really intensified the mood of the fight scenes. The plot may not be at its best, but for a historical anime, it's definitely enjoyable for me.
