Show begins as a hero's journey where tragic accident physically transformed main character into RPG game player/character, with Virtual Reality (VR) interface embedded into his physiology. So his "journey" is reduced to visiting portals and slaying monsters to earn points that he invest into his own abilities, being "superior" to ordinary non-player men. First few episodes are interesting only until they introduce "life is a computer game" concept, literally. After that it is boring, pointless and tedious, with absurd game elements like inventory (allowing player to pull previously bought weapons from nowhere), instant healing, etc. Absurd, mediocre and overrated show with absolutely nothing to praise.
Idea of life is a game was much better explored in "Sword Art Online" and "Gantz" shows, philosophically and story-wise, in much more plausible way.
