I think this is a movie that generated a very deep impact in the world of anime, I would say a before and after, today it is still a success.

I was angry that I had not seen it because as you say it is a film that generated a very big impact on everything that happened in the anime after it. The animation is crazy and it's super interesting the way they imagined the cities to be 30 years later, much more futuristic than they are in reality.
