Blame! It is an adaptation of the Tsutomu Nihei manga that has ten volumes and we can see this amazing movie in the Netflix catalog.

This film is dark and cyberpunk with a very well developed story but with some logical gaps because they had to summarize 10 manga volumes in just over an hour and a half.

Blame! Es una adaptación del manga de Tsutomu Nihei que cuenta con diez volúmenes y podemos ver esta sorprendente película en el catálogo de Netflix.

Esta película es de corte oscuro y cyberpunk con una historia muy bien desarrollada pero con algunas lógicas lagunas debido a que debieron resumir 10 volumenes de manga en poco más de hora y media.

The story tells us how human beings are married by robots that try to exterminate all signs of organic life and in fact throughout the film we can see that there is only one mega metallic structure that is constantly being built by construction robots. There is no nature, no trees or animals, just a few humans trying to survive this apocalyptic disaster.

At the beginning of the film we see a group of humans wearing special suits looking desperately for food because resources are increasingly scarce. Suddenly some robots catch these human beings and a battle is triggered in which the iconic character of this film and also of the manga appears: Killy.

La historia nos cuenta de cómo los seres humanos son casados por unos robots que intentan exterminar todo indicio de vida orgánica y de hecho en toda la película podemos observar que solo existe una mega estructura metálica en constante construcción por parte de unos robots constructores. No existe naturaleza, ni arboles ni animales, solo unos pocos humanos tratando de sobrevivir a este desastre apocalíptico.

Al principio de la película vemos a un grupo de humanos usando unos trajes especiales buscando comido desesperadamente porque los recursos son cada vez más escasos. Repentinamente unos robots pillan a estos seres humanos y se desencadena una batalla en donde aparece el personaje icono de esta película y también del manga: Killy.

The film is grim and with dazzling animation effects and the story is not far behind so I decided to investigate the manga later. This film has harsh elements of science fiction especially cyberpunk that detail deeply. The weapons work with gravitational waves producing catastrophic disasters, the food seems to be made of nanotechnology that when in contact with certain elements increases its volume, that is, they are like ingots of food that grow when in contact with, for example, a liquid.

*La película es sombría y con efectos de animación deslumbrantes y la historia no se queda atrás por lo que he decidido más adelante investigar sobre el manga. Esta película cuenta con elementos duros de ciencia ficción en especial de cyberpunk que detalle profundamente. Las armas funcionan con ondas gravitaciones produciendo desastres catastróficos, la comida parece ser hecha de nanotecnología que al entrar en contacto con determinados elementos aumenta su volumen, es decir son como lingotes de comida que crecen al entrar en contacto con por ejemplo un líquido. *

The concept of humanity is not only limited to organic beings since we can see a scientist who is an android who only keeps her head and who was a human who raised her consciousness to this body so the concept of humanity remains at least in doubt but she is in search of the special gene just like Kitty.

So having said all this, transhumanism is the main concept of the film and the philosophy on which it is based. The struggle for power is another important issue as the machines assume power trying to completely displace human beings as they are considered illegal and unnecessary.

El concepto de humanidad no solo se limita a seres orgánicos ya que podemos ver a una científica que es un androide que solo conserva su cabeza y que fue una humana que subió su consciencia a este cuerpo por lo que el concepto de humanidad queda al menos en duda pero ella está en la búsqueda del gen especial al igual que Kitty.

Entonces habiendo dicho todo esto el transhumanismo es el concepto principal de la película y la filosofía en que se basa. La lucha por el poder es otro tema importante ya que las maquinas asumen el poder intentando desplazar por completo a los seres humanos por considerarlos ilegales e innecesarios.

One of the concepts that most attracted me in history was the mega structure that is under constant construction. Like many films, this one warns us of the dangers of unleashing an artificial intelligence that considers us inferior and unnecessary. We must take these concepts into account since each time we study the ways to create artificial intelligence and although we are still quite far from what can be seen in this animation, it is something that we should already study.

The technology used in the story is something that I have rarely seen as was the case with Ergo Proxy. Cyberpunk and Japanese animation films related to science fiction go very far compared to the conservatives that we can be in the West.
Without a doubt, this is a movie that any science fiction fan can enjoy.

Uno de los conceptos que más me atrajo de la historia fue la mega estructura que está en constante construcción. A Kitty le fue preguntado de dónde provenía y él dice que de 6000 niveles más abajo, es decir este personaje llevaba deambulando por 6000 niveles en búsqueda de humanos portadores del gen. Todo este mundo metálico y frio están en constante evolución.

Como muchas películas, esta nos advierte de los peligros de desatar una inteligencia artificial que nos considere inferiores e innecesarios. Debemos tener en cuenta estos conceptos ya que cada vez estudiamos las maneras de crear una inteligencia artificial y si bien aún estamos bastante lejos de lo que se puede ver en esta animación es algo que ya deberíamos de ir estudiando.

La tecnología empleada en la historia es algo que pocas veces he visto como fue el caso de Ergo Proxy. El cyberpunk y las películas de animación japonesas relacionadas con la ciencia ficción se van muy lejos en comparación con los conservadores que podemos ser en occidente.

Sin duda alguna esta es una película que cualquier fan de la ciencia ficción podrá disfrutar-
