Hello to all anime fans. I hope you are doing well today, and this time I want to share with you a review with my personal opinion of the anime Re:Zero - Starting Life un Another World. One of the few isekais that has managed to catch my attention and captivate me, truth be told, I have never been a fan of isekai anime. I don't think I've touched on the subject yet here, but the truth is that there are very few isekai anime that I've liked... it's not my kind of genre. I think I almost never watch this kind of anime, most of them seem super dumb, predictable, and unnecessary to me, the truth.. it has become a genre that has brought so bad series.. But hey, before the onslaught of anime isekais started, ReZero was released, which was one of the first pioneers, so to speak, to bring decent isekai anime.

It was the first of all that truly captivated me and didn't make me loathe it, like the others, from the moment it starts, it seems to be a typical isekai of the bunch, with nothing new to offer, but it quickly turns into a series capable of filling you with extreme emotions and giving you several unexpected twists that can leave you with your mouth open. Obviously, like most of this kind of series, our protagonist is transported to a world of magic and fantasy... that's where the story starts to move, but in a slightly different way, as the episodes progress, ReZero shows us that it's not a typical adventure of monsters and magic, but it demonstrates a quite psychological exploration about pain, suffering and personal growth...

Espero que se encuentren muy bien en el día de hoy, y en esta ocasión les quiero compartir una reseña con mi opinión personal del anime Re:Zero - Starting Life un Another World. Uno de los pocos isekais que ha logrado llamar mi atención y cautivarme, la verdad, yo nunca he sido un fanático de los animes isekai. Creo que no he tocado el tema todavía por aquí, pero la verdad son muy pocos los animes isekais que me han gustado.. no es mi tipo de género. Creo que casi nunca veo este tipo de animes, la mayoría me parecen súper tontos, predecibles, y innecesarios, la verdad.. se ha vuelto un género que ha traído series tan malas.. Pero bueno, antes de que empezaran las avalanchas de animes isekais, se estrenó ReZero, que fue uno de los primeros pioneros, por así decirlo, en traer animes isekais decentes.

Fue el primero de todos que me cautivó verdaderamente y no me hizo aborrecerlo, como a los demás, desde el momento que comienza, parece ser un típico isekai del montón, sin nada nuevo que ofrecer, pero rápidamente se convierte en una serie capaz de llenarte de emociones extremas y darte varios giros inesperados que pueden dejarte con la boca abierta. Obviamente, como la mayoría de este tipo de series, nuestro protagonista se ve transportado a un mundo de magia y fantasía.. es donde la historia empieza a moverse, pero de una manera un poco distinta, a medida que avanzan los episodios, ReZero nos va mostrando que no es una típica aventura de monstruos y magia, sino que demuestra una exploración bastante psicológica sobre el dolor, el sufrimiento y el crecimiento personal..

The protagonist, Subaru Natsuki, ends up arriving to this new world in a mysterious way, but unlike other heroes, he doesn't receive extraordinary superhuman abilities, on the contrary, this is a pretty normal guy, who had a pretty mundane life and few physical abilities.... The only thing that seems to stand out about his personality is his persistence, and he soon ends up discovering that every time he dies in this world, he revives at a specific point in the past retaining all his previous memories, obviously being the only one who realizes this.. this makes his life seem as if it were a kind of video game with save points. At first, this protagonist seems to face all kinds of situations with a lot of optimism and energy, he feels that indeed with this ability he can go very far and end up winning the heart of the pretty girl, so to speak.

But quickly this illusion completely crumbles... the plot, as the episodes progress, takes a very interesting dark turn, as this world is much more complicated, scary and desolate than he thought. Furthermore, what can be seen at first as a fun trick, quickly turns into a curse that forces him to experience over and over again the pain of dying in very cruel ways, and worse, seeing those he loves suffer terrible consequences over and over again.

El protagonista, Subaru Natsuki, acaba llegando a este nuevo mundo de manera misteriosa, pero a diferencia de otros héroes, no recibe habilidades sobrehumanas extraordinarias, al contrario, este es un chico bastante normal, que tenía una vida bastante mundana y pocas habilidades físicas.. Lo único que parece resaltar de su personalidad es su persistencia, y pronto acaba descubriendo que cada vez que muere en este mundo, revive en un punto específico del pasado conservando todos sus recuerdos previos, obviamente siendo el único que se da cuenta de esto.. esto hace ver su vida como si fuera un tipo de videojuego con puntos de guardado. Al principio, este protagonista parece enfrentar todo tipo de situaciones con mucho optimismo y energía, siente que de verdad con esta habilidad puede llegar muy lejos y terminar ganándose el corazón de la chica bonita, por así decirlo.

Pero rápidamente esta ilusión se desmorona completamente.. la trama, conforme avanzan los episodios, da un giro oscuro muy interesante, ya que este mundo es mucho más complicado, tenebroso y desolado de lo que él creía. Además, lo que se puede ver al principio como un truco divertido, se convierte rápidamente en una maldición que le obliga a experimentar una y otra vez el dolor de morir de formas muy crueles, y peor aún, ver a aquellos que ama sufrir terribles consecuencias una y otra vez.

The story starts to develop based on this series of repetitions that Subaru does when he dies, but instead of this feeling tedious or boring, each cycle adds a new layer of depth to both the plot and its characters. Since, in a way, each time Subaru's life is restarted, certain things have to change...I found it very interesting how the protagonist slowly learns to deal with his helplessness, each death teaching him something new, not only about the world he's trapped in, but about himself.

I think that, although it comes a little late, you start to feel the development of this protagonist, and coming towards the end of the series, it is one of the highlights that this anime has. His growth as a character, as I tell you, is slow, but when you get to that climax it is really shocking.. he is not the typical invincible hero, he is very vulnerable, often selfish and makes terrible mistakes that are accompanied by beatings or a lot of pain.. and this is precisely why his evolution is so satisfying. As for the other characters, ReZero does an incredible job of giving them unparalleled depth and nuance.

Emilia, the main pretty girl and Subaru's deep love, at the beginning seems to be another typical love interest, the typical helpless girl without more, but her kindness and her fight against discrimination for being a half-elf make her a very interesting character, and as the story progresses, we discover that her past and all the interesting history surrounding her, becomes very dark and for sure many will want to know about her.... On the other hand we have Rem, which is my favorite character of the whole show, she really has some incredible moments... I think this character is one of the ones that will surely make many people connect with the series. She has become one of the most beloved anime girls and I think it's pretty understandable why. She is an ogre/demon that both her action scenes, her emotional scenes, everything that involves this character in the season, in this series is just amazing... and if you feel that I speak a little half-heartedly is because I want to avoid spoilers haha, but without a doubt she steals the show when she appears.

La historia se empieza a desarrollar en base a esta serie de repeticiones que Subaru hace al morir, pero en lugar de sentirse esto como algo tedioso o aburrido, cada ciclo añade una nueva capa de profundidad tanto a la trama como a sus personajes. Ya que, de cierta manera, cada vez que se reinicia la vida de Subaru, se tienen que cambiar ciertas cosas.. me pareció muy interesante como el protagonista aprende lentamente a lidiar con su impotencia, cada muerte le va enseñando algo nuevo, no solo sobre el mundo en el que está atrapado, sino sobre sí mismo.

Creo que, aunque llega un poco tarde, se empieza a sentir el desarrollo de este protagonista, y llegando hacia el final de la serie, es uno de los aspectos más destacados que tiene este anime. Su crecimiento como personaje, como les digo, es lento, pero cuando se llega a ese clímax es realmente impactante.. no es el típico héroe invencible, es muy vulnerable, a menudo egoísta y comete errores terribles que vienen acompañados de palizas o mucho dolor.. y es precisamente esto por lo que su evolución resulta tan satisfactoria. En cuanto a los demás personajes, ReZero hace un trabajo increíble al darles una profundidad y matices inigualables.

Emilia, la chica bonita principal y el amor profundo de Subaru, al principio parece ser otro interés amoroso típico, la típica chica indefensa sin más, pero su bondad y su lucha contra la discriminación por ser una medio-elfa la convierten en un personaje muy interesante, y conforme avanza la historia, descubrimos que su pasado y toda la historia interesante que la envuelve, se vuelve muy oscura y seguro muchos querrán saber de ella.. Por otro lado tenemos a Rem, el cual es mi personaje favorito de todo el show, en verdad tiene unos momentos increíbles.. creo que este personaje es uno de los que seguramente harán que muchos conecten con la serie. Se ha convertido en una de las chicas del anime más queridas y creo que se entiende bastante por qué. Es una ogro/ demonio que tanto sus escenas de acción, sus escenas emotivas, todo lo que envuelve a este personaje en la temporada, en esta serie es simplemente increíble.. y si sienten que hablo un poco a medias es porque quiero evitar spoilers jaja, pero sin duda se roba el show cuando aparece.

I think there is always a very interesting background that leaves you wanting to know more and more. The use of magic and the various beasts that appear bring classic fantasy elements, but give them a rather sinister touch that keeps the tension constant, the animation I thought was very good, the White Fox studio I think did an excellent job capturing both the moments of intense action and the more emotional and tragic moments.

The battle scenes for the most part are dynamic and well choreographed, but where the animation really shines is in the moments of psychological tension... all the facial expressions, especially Subaru's in his moments of greatest despair, are incredibly detailed and perfectly convey the emotional weight that this character carries.... Of course, the music also plays a crucial role in the whole atmosphere of the anime, I found the soundtrack spectacular. It has very interesting pieces and both the openings and endings are super good... I think there are several tracks that I have downloaded to have them in my personal player to listen to them. I'm sure the lovers of Japanese songs will be very satisfied.

El mundo en el cual se desarrolla esta historia está lleno de unos detalles que me parecieron bastante intrigantes, desde los distintos misterios políticos que rodean al reino hasta las oscuras criaturas que acechan, y todas las amenazas que se van desarrollando y las cuales nuestros héroes deben enfrentar.. creo que siempre hay un trasfondo muy interesante que te deja con ganas de saber más y más. El uso de la magia y las distintas bestias que aparecen aportan elementos clásicos de fantasía, pero les dan un toque bastante siniestro que mantiene la tensión constante, la animación me pareció muy buena, el estudio White Fox creo que hizo un trabajo excelente capturar tanto los momentos de acción intensa como los momentos más emotivos y trágicos.

Las escenas de batallas en su mayoría son dinámicas y bien coreografiadas, pero donde realmente brilla la animación es en los momentos de tensión psicológica.. todas las expresiones faciales, especialmente las de Subaru en sus momentos de mayor desesperación, son increíblemente detalladas y transmiten perfectamente el peso emocional que este personaje carga.. Por supuesto, la música también juega un papel crucial en toda la atmósfera del anime, la banda sonora me pareció espectacular. Tiene piezas muy interesantes y tanto los openings como los endings son súper buenos.. creo que son varios los temas que he descargado para tenerlos en mi reproductor personal y así escucharlos. Seguro a los amantes de las canciones japonesas quedarán muy satisfechos.

One of the things I liked most about this anime is its ability to really make you care about what's at stake. It's not just about the protagonist trying to save his life, but we'll see Subaru try to save everyone else, often having to sacrifice himself emotionally throughout the process.... The consequences of his actions have a real heavy weight, and the series is not afraid to show the darker side of humanity in general, both the protagonist and the supporting characters, no one here is perfect or a saint. Every mistake has repercussions, and every small victory feels earned through all the effort and pain these characters have had to go through....

Obviously, it's not a perfect series, there are moments where the narrative can feel a bit stretched, and Subaru, despite having quite a bit of complexity, can be irritating at times, I think it's a personal thing of mine, and it's something I have against some screaming characters, and well, I think they personally irritate me a little... Subaru sometimes has some very outrageous scenes that I feel don't quite connect with me, but it's not something too serious.

Although of course, like every character, he makes impulsive decisions and sometimes doesn't listen to others, and this ends up costing him quite dearly.. it's frustrating to see him fall into certain specific mistakes many times, but it's within his development, of course. Personally I think, this series will take you through a very intense emotional journey, full of highs and lows, it's not your typical boring isekai, it's the opposite of the word simplicity.

Una de las cosas que más me gustaron de este anime es su habilidad para hacer que de verdad te importe lo que está en juego. No se trata de solo el protagonista intentando salvar su vida, sino que veremos a Subaru intentar salvar a todos los demás, a menudo teniendo que sacrificarse emocionalmente en todo el proceso.. Las consecuencias de sus acciones tienen un verdadero peso muy grande, y la serie no tiene miedo en mostrar el lado más oscuro de la humanidad en general, tanto el protagonista como los personajes secundarios, aquí nadie es perfecto ni un santo. Cada error tiene repercusiones, y cada pequeña victoria se siente ganada a través de todo el esfuerzo y el dolor por el que han tenido que pasar estos personajes..

Obviamente, no es una serie perfecta, hay momentos en los que la narrativa puede sentirse algo estirada, y Subaru, a pesar de tener bastante complejidad, puede resultar a veces irritante, creo que es algo ya personal mío, y es algo que tengo en contra de algunos personajes gritones, y bueno, creo que personalmente me irritan un poco.. Subaru a veces tiene unas escenas muy escandalosas que siento que no conectan del todo conmigo, pero no es algo demasiado grave.

Aunque claro, como todo personaje, toma decisiones impulsivas y a veces no escucha a los demás, y esto termina costándole bastante caro.. es frustrante verlo caer en ciertos errores específicos muchas veces, pero está dentro de su desarrollo, por supuesto. Personalmente pienso, que esta serie los llevará por un viaje emocional muy intenso, lleno de altos y bajos, no es el típico isekai aburrido, sino que es todo lo contrario a la palabra simplicidad.

It is quite complex, and has a combination of many interesting plots and narratives, with complex characters and a very intriguing world that I would always like to keep exploring. I liked the first season better than the second, although this one was also very, very good. We meet big threats, and it's great to learn more about the past of beloved characters. Very soon the third season will be released, so you have time to marathon these first two seasons to be ready to watch this third season. I give it a 9/10 rating. As I was saying, I was quite entertained, I liked it a lot, and it's one of the few Isekai anime that didn't make me want to vomit, and that's a great achievement. Es bastante complejo, y tiene una combinación de muchas tramas y narrativas interesantes, con personajes complejos y un mundo muy intrigante que siempre me gustaría seguir explorando. A mí me gustó más la primera temporada que la segunda, aunque esta también estuvo muy, pero muy buena. Conocemos grandes amenazas, y es genial saber más del pasado de personajes queridos. Muy pronto se estrenará la tercera temporada, así que están a tiempo de hacer un maratón de estas dos primeras temporadas para estar listos para ver esta tercera temporada. Yo le doy una calificación de 9/10. Como les comentaba, me entretuvo bastante, me gustó bastante, y es de los pocos animes Isekai que no me han dado ganas de vomitar, y eso es un gran logro.
