Book of Circus: More than a story, a cruel reality!
Even though my favorite Kuroshitsuji arc is Book of the Atlantic for reasons of favoritism towards Undertaker's character, if I have to be objective, the best arc for me was Book of Circus and here in this post I wanted to tell you why I consider it the best, even with the current arc of the manga.
Before I start, I leave you a Spoiler warning!
The arc starts with a quite powerful mystery, the disappearance of children that is strongly linked to a circus, because where this circus is positioned, these children begin to disappear, then it is impossible that suspicions do not fall on this and that is why Queen Victoria sends Ciel and Sebastian to investigate if it is really involved with these disappearances and for that they will try to infiltrate the circus as the new members.
We can see that the members of the circus are very nice young people and not suspicious at all, with whom you could easily get attached, but as the story progresses we can clearly notice that something sinister is hidden behind the appearance of circus performers who only seek to entertain an audience and I love how Ciel and Sebastian are looking for clues to get to the cruel truth.
I want to say that this season was developed in a splendid and ingenious way by Yana Toboso, it manages to capture the attention of the viewers by keeping you intrigued with such a mystery, but at the same time it shows us for the first time a part of Ciel's painful past and starts to give us signs of what would happen later until the present time of the manga.
The reality behind this story
It encompasses in a fictional way something that unfortunately is happening worldwide, the disappearance of children and the purposes for which they kidnap the purest and most innocent beings in the world. Not only that, but behind all this there is a totally sinister and disturbed mind that uses others to achieve its goals, a character that was very unpleasant to listen to giving his excuses as to why he did what he did.
The final scenes where everything is discovered are grotesque and repulsive, I felt very sorry for the missing children, they fell into the hands of a mentally ill person that thinking that these things really happen, I felt pretty bad.
Another point to highlight is the desperation, how a weak and vulnerable mind can be easily manipulated by a mask of someone who shows to be kind and charitable, but in reality has macabre intentions taking advantage of the desperation of totally helpless beings, this is more than an anime, it is reality itself.
Conclusion
Book of Circus is a dark, sinister, macabre story that attempts in every way against the beings that should never be touched: Children, to achieve the objectives of a sinister and manipulative being and also makes it clear that although Sebastian is a real demon, the human being can be more of a monster than he is.
Message that this arc leaves: Never leave children alone or neglect them even for a second, there are evil demons lurking and we never know when they might attack.
I appreciate your visit and I recommend 100% Book of Circus!

A vos princesa, de estos temas no se mucho pero aquí estoy!😃
I haven't heard about this anime before but it looks like the type of story that I would truly enjoy. Something about dark and sinister stories just got something appealing to me hahaha
Great review 💕. I'll definitely look up this anime
And it is quite dark and murky, although it has comedy scenes, the story is very dark haha I recommend it ❤️🦉
Thanks for your visit, dear 😘
Yes, it's definitely an arc that goes beyond being just an anime story, it shows uncomfortable realities that are not usually aired much, so therein lies the interesting and important thing about Book of Circus.
Thanks for sharing your point of view with us. Best regards!
Exactly, Yana reflected through fiction something that happens worldwide and very often unfortunately, without a doubt Book of Circus is a very impacting arc 💔
Thank you very much dear, always a pleasure to pass through this beautiful community 🦉
uuuuf this story looks powerful, reminds me of a black and white movie that I have not yet been able to see about circus phenomena, here I do not see that but there is a certain aura as strange, regardless of the above what captivates me most is the style of drawing, it is not like the current one that is not very much to my liking, these transmit me more not to mention the amount of colors and shapes for being circus element.
Book of Circus, I will definitely see you when the time comes, will it be on netflix by any chance or where did you see it?
It's the third season of the anime, if you want to see it complete, I warn you that you can confuse it with a yaoi anime, but it is not haha and yes, there is something shady behind that circus, you'd be surprised to know what their prostheses are made of and what they do 💔
I think it came out in 2013 or 2014, I don't remember well, that's why you like the drawing style, it's from the old days 😂
I think it's on Netflix, but I watched it in ways I shouldn't have hahaha
