This is why Death Note is an anime gem ❤️ It shows us true human nature and what any of us might do when given a little power. We may be the kindest people in the world, but what would we do with a notebook like that in our hands? I love that you brought up the struggle over what justice really is and what happens when a human gains unlimited power. It is the heart of the series. Many people, at first, wonder: Is Light doing something good by clearing the world of criminals? But, as you say, power corrupts him and turns him into what he was supposedly trying to eliminate: a tyrant. It's fascinating to see that psychological transformation.
