Are you using GitHub Copilot? If you're using VSCode, I recommend Cursor! Once you get used to it, I think your speed will improve! I've recommended it to my friends and based on their feedback, they're really liking it! I'm a heavy user myself lol
I think you're ahead of others! I started by creating small plugins and trying to incorporate LLMs into them - that might have been my first step! I also have this intuition that we should ride this wave haha
