The other night, I had a very light dinner and ended up waking up hungry in the middle of the night. I made myself a cup of cocoa and, while half-asleep under the blanket, I started thinking about all the things I bought this year that genuinely made me happy.
It was unexpectedly fun—so I thought I’d share them with you.
January
During Veganuary, I bought two cookbooks that brought me so much joy.
A New Way To Bake
A vegan baking book that doesn’t rely on strange substitutes. Everything feels natural and delicious.
Pasta A–Z
A book that introduces countless pasta shapes and sauces. It brought fresh inspiration to my pasta routine, which tends to fall into tomato-or-cream patterns.
February
While travelling in Portugal, I fell in love with Vista Alegre cutlery and brought some home as a souvenir. I use them every day now. Next February, I’ll visit Portugal again and hope to tour the Vista Alegre factory.
March
During a trip to Paris, I found a limited-edition cherry blossom candle at Diptyque and couldn’t resist. I lit it every night throughout the month.
April
Had my BIRKENSTOCK sandals repaired
Bought a small maple tree at a Berlin plant market
Foldable coffee filter holder for camping
A model kit of the Suzuki Jimny
May
My daughter encouraged me to prepare for and join the Gothic Festival together, and it turned into such a fun month. I’d love to join again next year.

June
I began refreshing my workspace—because good work begins with a good environment. I bought TIPTOE table legs and a wooden tabletop, and finally set up a desk I truly love next to the sofa.
July

August
I bought a wooden wall shelf for my workspace, installed it, and finally felt the whole corner come together. It made me genuinely happy.
September

An African market basket I bought at Terra Madre Americas, both as a souvenir and a memory
October
I traveled to Malaysia for Hive Fest and focused on experiences more than shopping, so no major purchases this month.
November
- Organic vitamin essence (after recovering from a cold)
- A color printer
- A Herrnhuter star light — a truly beautiful piece of design that makes me wish I could create something this timeless someday.
December
It’s still the “letting go” phase before the new moon, so I’m keeping big purchases on hold.
But I might end the year with one last big thing: a wood lathe.
I want to make mini @pupiko figures, so I’m deciding between the model below and a slightly better one.
I hope I’ll find something truly good. 😊

先日夕食を控えめにしたら、夜中にお腹が空いて起きてしまいました。ココアを飲んで、しばらくベッドの中でもぞもぞしながら、1月から順に今年買った良かったものを考え始めました。おもしろいのでシェアしようと思います。
1月
Veganuaryの最中に購入した料理本に大満足の一ヶ月でした。
- A New Way To Bake: ヴィーガンのお菓子のレシピ本で、変な材料を使って無理にヴィーガンにしていないのがとてもよいです。
- Pasta A-Z: ありとあらゆるパスタとソースを紹介した本で、トマトソースかクリームソースでまんねりになりがちなパスタライフに新風を吹き込んでくれます。
2月
ポルトガル旅行中に出会ったVista Alegreのカトラリーが美しすぎて思わずお土産に。日々愛用しています。来年2月にまたポルトガルに行く予定で、Vista Alegreの工場見学ができたらいいなと思っています。
3月
パリに行った時にDiptyqueのお店で限定の桜の香りのキャンドルがあり、思わず。毎晩あかりをつけて楽しみました。
4月

良い仕事は仕事場からということで、台所の一角の仕事場を整備し始めました。仕事机（Tiptoeの机の足と木のテーブルトップ）の部品を買って、ようやく満足のいく机をソファの横にセットアップできました。

- ヴィーガンマーケットで出会ったキノコのネックレス
8月
仕事場の壁にかける木の棚を購入して取り付けて、仕事場が完成！すっきりしてうれしいです。
9月

- Terra Madre Americasでお土産と思い出を兼ねて買ったアフリカのマーケットバスケット
10月
Hive Festでマレーシアに旅行して、体験重視でそこまでものは買っていないよう。
11月
- オーガニックのビタミンエッセンス 風邪を引いて反省。
- カラープリンター
- Herrenhutersterneの星のライト。本当に美しい製品で、こんなものをデザインして、人生を生ききれたらなあと思うばかりです。
12月
今月はまだ新月に向かう手放し期なので、大きな買い物はリストアップ中です。多分買っちゃうだろうなというものの一つが木工旋盤でして今年最後の大きな買い物になりそうです。下のか、もうワンランク上のものか迷っています。ミニ @pupiko たちを作りたくって。

お買い物いいですね。最近全然ものを買っていなくて、今年何か買ったかな？と考えて、止まっています。何も買っていないかも笑
え、錆びるんですか！？結構適当に扱っていますが、今のところ大丈夫なはず・・・でも黒だから見えないだけだったりしてとちょっと怖くなりました 😂
過去10年くらいものすごく物欲がなかったのですが、このところ戻ってきた感じです 😁

The star light is very pretty
Same. I try not to buy items immediately and put what I want first in a list and wait for at least two weeks these days ... but ja still a lot. The star was on my list for years 😆
